It would be the best Zelda ever!

I have... a very strong feeling one of the biggest surprises of the Zelda Wii reveal will be voice acting.
I think link will still be a mute but VA will be in the game.
I hope the king wonders what's for dinner. /terriblyoldjokeI'm just hoping Link says "Well Excluuuuse Me, Princess!"

Yep It's only a presentation upgrade. It doesn't significantly improve the game. Just the presentation. That's not a significant enough improvement from Zelda to Zelda to create the "BEST ZELDA EVER"I would say they are over a decade late...but it would be a start.

[QUOTE="siLVURcross"]The best Zelda(s) ever were already made without such nonsense, they're called Majora's Mask and Windwaker ;)gammon56I couldnt even bring my self to finish wind waker dont kill me :P
And I will never touch MM ever again. Save system = fail.

I played it for about an hour then returned it.EDIT: Come to think of it, I did the same with OoT. Back then, I was a picky little son of a nutter butter.
EDIT_2: Come to think of it again, WW, TP, PH, and ST were the only ones I cared to play to the end and I only played them once.

I played it for about an hour then returned it.Inability to permanently save except for going back in time = massive fail of epic proportions.

Exactly.
To be honest though, Nintendo knows that Zelda sells incredibly well and they also know they have a huge install base this generation. Nintendo probably have no real need to pony up the extra dough to pay voice talent and music talent to improve the presentation on that level.
It's Zelda, it's going to sell HUGE anyways.
Of course, that could be a form of sales hype, this is the first Zelda EVER to have voice acting! So, we'll see.
If the voice acting isn't really well done, then its better off without any. Orchestral music would be awesome though.

What if the voices were less than stellar?
*Thinks of Metroid Prime 3* nvm, I'll just take the orchestrated music.I got 20 bucks on the voice acting sucking if Metroid Prime 3 was any indication, and Other M is any indication.Orchestral music is a no-brainer. As for voice acting..............I'd expect Nintendo to make very sure it was superb, and no voice for Link.
789shadow
First of all, Twilight Princess featured orchestral music. 2nd, I am 100% Nintendo will not do voice acting. But if they did, which they won't, it will be awful.

Everyone but samus talked. It made me feel in the world personally then reading pages upon pages of text with bloops. LOZ should be everyone but link talks. Nintendo has the money for it now lets see if they will use it.

[QUOTE="windsquid9000"]Yes, and it made my ears bleed. okay i dont think i really want to trust nintendo with VAs now....[QUOTE="funsohng"] MP3 had VA?funsohng
It wasint god awful, but it wasint top tier either. It was more like just ok. Now just improve on that nintendo.
[QUOTE="windsquid9000"]Yes, and it made my ears bleed. okay i dont think i really want to trust nintendo with VAs now.... I just watched a video and it wasn't as bad as I remembered, but it's still pretty dang stiff and the poor animations and weak dialogue don't do it any favors.[QUOTE="funsohng"] MP3 had VA?funsohng
Just as long as they make Link sound like a frail little girl(the way I've always imagined) I'll be happy :). Final Fantasy 10 quality voice-acting if you please, for the lulz.
...
And I will torture anyone who speaks highly of FF10 voice acting on this or any thread... tread lightly:evil:

Actually it's good. I was expecting JRPG VA, but since MP is kind of a Western game, I think it fits the atmosphere then again, Zelda is different story.
I might be wrong, but the TP music wasn't orchestral. In fact that was one of the complaints by gertsmann(everyones favorite reviewer? right? :P)First of all, Twilight Princess featured orchestral music. 2nd, I am 100% Nintendo will not do voice acting. But if they did, which they won't, it will be awful.
ColdP1zza
If anything it's mandatory they include those things. Just keep Link a silent protagonist and you're all set.

They never had no real reason to go a semi-new direction with metroid either, or put in the kind of effort it took to improve on Mario Galaxy but they did. They have their own way of doing business but overall they do like to aim for high quality. I expect the new Zelda to be rather impressive(hopefully).I don't care for voice acting, but I'm expecting orchestrated music for this one.
Renegade_Fury
Why are you expecting this? There has been no indication Nintendo will go that route. Orchestral music has only appeared in a few select Nintendo titles to date.
