What is a better deal,a ps3 or a nintendo wii

It depends both are great deals. If you have the games you want for those systems then it is easily a great deal to be worth it.

If you have a 360 definetely Wii. If you dont get a PS3.That simple.

Well, you've got to take some things into consideration, obviously, and since they're similar in price now, fortunately that's not one of them.

First of all, and probably the most obvious one, are you normally a fan of Nintendo's games? If you're a fan of the core franchises, then the Wii's a good choice.

Do you see yourself playing locally with people more often than not? If so, then the Wii's also a good choice.

Are graphics important to you? If yes, go with the PS3; if not, then you should still look at the game selection for both consoles before making a decision (the graphics in most of the Wii's top games are still good, just not really in the same league as most of the PS3's library)

Do you have an HDTV? If you do, then a PS3 might be the better choice, since the Wii's more suited to lower resolutions. The fact that the PS3's also a Blu-Ray player doesn't hurt, either...

If you're more of a fan of playing online, then the PS3's probably a better choice.

So anyway, to sum it up, get a Wii if you're a fan of Ninendo's games and local multiplayer games. Get a PS3 if graphics and online mutliplayer are important to you, and also probably if you have an HDTV

Keep in mind, if you don't like the games a console has, then it's worthless to you no matter which one it is, so be sure to research what's out there for both consoles before you make a decision.

Guess it really depends on your taste. I have both a PS3 and a Wii and IMO the Wii is leagues better than the PS3.... of course Im one of the few that actually tried to get the best out of my Wii.

PS3, it has better graphics, games, it plays blu-ray movies, and it's game aren't only for kids and mario fanboys.

It ultimately depends on your gaming tastes.

But you also have to weigh in if you have a gaming PC.

In short, if you have a gaming PC, get the Wii, if you don't, get the PS3.

Guess it really depends on your taste. I have both a PS3 and a Wii and IMO the Wii is leagues better than the PS3.... of course Im one of the few that actually tried to get the best out of my Wii.

No it does make sense. Maybe the Wiis stellar exclusives will make someone want to buy it? Some people have different taste than others. Use your head and you'll figure out that it makes absolute perfect sense.

Essentially the PS3 is far superior in hard numbers but this is more of a taste thing. I tell you to buy a PS3 even if essentially the entire library out and upcoming does nothing for me besides the last guardian and uncharted 2.

I don't think there is a real answer, both have great games. If I bought one, I would need the other. Get both.:P Or jack up your PC and get the Wii.

I like the Wii and all, but PS3 is easily the better choice. Superior gaming experience, as well as Blu-ray. Again, I'm not dissing the Wii, because I do love it, but PS3 wins as far as value.enterawesome

Well i have both and I have to say PS3 wins hands down it is just more fun to play and the online component is much more superior the harddrive everything about wins the games are just more fun to play!

The wii is overpriced, the PS3 is a much better deal.
