That's all the games? :P I count 12, excluding FF 7 (Sucked) FF14 (MMO) Uncharted (Shooter with platforming) Lair (Controls, though patch has fixed some of it)

I never said the PS3 is just loaded with shooters and wrpgs, it does have its fair share of variety, but as far as I can see, those are the main genres in the systems.

Get a PS3, then play uncharted. Then get a Wii when it gets a price drop, and some good games.

the wii. its 50 dollars cheaper. plus you can rebuy old nintendo game that you could get for on the pc for free. plus its got cool controls that cost 80 bucks a set. so if you wanted to play a four player game with four friends at your house it only costs 240 bucks.!!!its alsogot better graphics then the xbox 1 !!!. imo the wii is way better of a deal for gamers

I'm wondering what the OP's intention was when making this thread. If he really was ohaving trouble deciding he'd have given some feedback by now, or at least answered the questions of the peopel that actually tried helping him make a decision. I call a troll.

Forget the prices & extra features that PS3 has... concentrate on gaming and decide whether you can live without Mario, Metroid& Zelda... if you can then pick a PS3, but if you cant get a Wii... (note: that Wii also offers many other great games, i just picked above the iconic titles..)

but if along gaming you like to get more for what you pay for, then PS3 is the best deal atm.. At $299 you get a great selection of exclusive titles, an even larger selection of multiplats, Free online service, WIFI, Blu-ray, many multimedia functions &rechargeable controllers..

Guess it really depends on your taste. I have both a PS3 and a Wii and IMO the Wii is leagues better than the PS3.... of course Im one of the few that actually tried to get the best out of my Wii.

Since i already have a 360 i would go with the Wii. I just dont get the point of having a 360 and a PS3. Still overall PS3 is probably better than Wii

PS3, because it's more powerful and it has a Blu-Ray player, but if you're like me, and don't care about graphics or watching movies, go with the Wii. Much better games. :)

I own all three.....the only one that I hardly play is my Wii. The fact that the Wii is underpowered isnt even my biggest gripe, the problem is there is basically zero online multiplayer. That my friends, is weaksauce.

Good Answer. PS3 is the way too go. I can tell you played your quality games in the past. Mario Galaxy 10, which will come out sooner or later is not going to cut it. How many Zeldas will it take to make people realize their playing the same game since the N64?

PS3, because it's more powerful and it has a Blu-Ray player, but if you're like me, and don't care about graphics or watching movies, go with the Wii. Much better games. :)

It depends on your home entertainment center. To really take full advantage of your PS3 you need to have a full 1080p hdtv and a nice surround sound. But if you just want to play casually, you don't need any of those with the Wii.

The Wii is better it has more fun games. A lot of highly anticipated games.

Why buy a last gen system (WII) when you can buy a current gen system(PS3) for $50 dollars more. It is a no brainer unless you just like toplay Mario, Zelda and Metroid. I have a WII that I never touch. Well at least my G/F touches my WII. LOL. She loves playing WII Fit. I fell for the gimicky controls and feel it was my worst purchases ever.

At launch, Nintendo was the best deal. It offered the cheapest console with the cheapest games with the cheapest controllers and the cheapest online service. It had enough games/upcomming games like Zelda, Trauma Center, and Excite Truck to justify its $250 price point even with the lack of HD support, a harddrive, or a dvd player.

Currently, the PS3 Slim is the best deal. Included with a 120g harddrive for storing music, pictures, and moviesplus a top tier Blu-Ray DVD player. Not to mentiona quality gaming system that has some very nice exclusives comming up (LBP GOTY edition, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, MAG) makes it the best deal right now.

Which is why im getting a PS3 in october

fixed. Dont mistake the Wii as being a current generation console. The 360 and PS3 are only now catching up in terms of innovative gameplay mechanics (motion control).

The Wii is better it has more fun games. A lot of highly anticipated games.

Since i already have a 360 i would go with the Wii. I just dont get the point of having a 360 and a PS3. Still overall PS3 is probably better than Wii

Thats exactly what i always tell people!! PS3 and 360 have nearly the same game liabrary. I hate to say it, but Wii is the perfect second console!
