Yes, this is the one, I'm not a Wii owner but just reading some of the posts, some people seem to be pleased with Wii's lineup. My original point is: 360 has the worst exclusive lineup for this year.

i have been with X360 sense day one, switched over to PS3 last year, but ended up going back to 360 after missing up, but 2010-2011 is looking pretty poor for 360 titles, i mean we get awsome mutiplats, and Gears3/Forza4, but it seems like to me that now Kincet is going to be MS main focus, maybe i made a bad choice by coming back to 360, it seems like it is going all for the casual gamer, like wii, few hardcore games, but mainly casual, i dont mind casual but i also want good muti and x360 only games.

Thats all I need. Those games will last me probably hundreds of hours. I know they aren't all exclusive but I dont care. Honestly, there isnt a single game I would rather have this year than Mass Effect 3 or Arkham City.

I think the biggest problem in System Wars isthe fanboys who think exclusives mean everything. Have fun with your 20 PS3 exclusives but just remember exclusive does not equal "better."

I stick to talking about the exclusives. Whatever multiplat or XBLA game the 360 receives, the PS3 probably will too. I think its kinda sad the 360 relies on multiplats this year.

My launch 360 RRoD last summer.

Im in no rush to get one but i know ill definately buy it again to replay some of my favourite games this gen (Banjo nuts and bolts, Kameo, PGR4, Lost Odyssey to name a few).

And than Microsoft bans your ass off Xbox LIVE. People exagerate the amount of hackers on Xbox Live, but there aren't many. Most get banned rather quickly. I don't know how it is on the PS3 so I am not saying anything about tha, but I know Sony doesn't go out an ban people.

TC, don't expect much from 360 if you're a core gamer.MS seems to have found a new love with the casual crowd.

Seriously, the games that I'm looking forward to this year are all multiplats, plus one 360 exclusive and one PS3 exclusive. I guess it all comes out in the wash. Everybody talks about how great exclusive games are, but multiplats usually are better games anyhow.romans828_2002

I disagree, 1st party games are dripping with quality and care that most 3rd party games lack. It comes down to motivation. 3rd party, multiplatform publishers try to spend as little as possible on multiplat development to rake in the most profit. 1st party games tend to be made more to boost console sales, and by extension software sales, so they are given the resources to really shine.

I've enjoyed Sony's 1st party this gen more than the 3rd party games, by far.

But PS3 does have far more and valid games and GOTY 2011 which is Uncharted 3 :)

You should just stick to both consoles. Both systems will have a solid year.

I have a 360 with Kinect. I am happy with both, but,in terms of exclusives, there is not much to get excited over right now. Hopefully there will be some unexpected announcements at E3. Right now, its mainly a COD:BO machine for me with a little Kinect on the side.

But gladly i also own a PS3, and i am going to be saturated with quality exclusives all year long. Im already loving LBP2, and I know i will love Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Infamous 2, Uncharted 3, MLB, plus the Ico/Colossus HD revisit, along with some hopefully good Move games like Sorcery and Move Heroes. Not to mention all the multiplats that i will probably get over the 360 versions, such as Dead Space 2 because of perks like Extraction, and Portal 2 with the free pc version as a bonus.

PS3 is definitely where its at in 2011.

MS is in the in the state that Nintendo was about 2 or 3 years ago. Except I doubt MS fanbase will be as forgiving when next generation pulls around. If the whole RROD epidemic doesn't make people think twice about getting the next Xbox on launch, then this new attitude toward their most prominant fans will have to do.

If MS doesn't knock the ball out of the park come E3, I'll be buying all my multiplats on PS3.

Yeah but that's besides the point. Speaking as a neutral you would say the PS3 has the far better lineup. Perhaps in 2012 it'll be the other way around as it looks liek SONY are throwing everything but the kitchen sink into this year.

but what about when the wii is entered into the equation? many posters on this board were heralding the wii as the console of the year because of all its exclusives yet it received none of the amazing multiplats (RDR, ME2,vanquish,BF:BC, fallout NV, bayonetta just to name a few) that were released last year.

so yes, this board highly over emphasizes the importance of exclusives. not to say they aren't important because they are. just not as much as this board makes it out to be, so much so that they'll claim the wii had the best year of all the consoles in 2010 while having absolutely 0 multiplat support. lol it boggles my mind really.

The TC should have kept your PS3 and bought a Xbox 360 to compliment each other so you dont miss out on anything. You made a HUGE mistake flip flopping like that, and now your friend is laughing and your left with the short end of the stick so to speak....
