This gen really sux! BlueRay isn't needed cause they make it not needed and that truly sux. They rather hold us back with very slowy progression just for the sake of making nice looking games cheaper, compress it and hype it! Competition moking us with last-gen format! Paying for things is cooler than it being free! Simulating moving on a board instead of going to play outside is selling like crazy. I'm sure if Nintendo made a house cleaning game every kid would love passing the vacuum or doing dishes for points. THIS IS MADNESS!

Ok. Again, Eight Days and The Getaway were being developed by SCE London. SCE London is also in charge of Home.

With the delays to Home and the gamer outcries over it, I am sure Sony heads cut all the other SCE London projects so that it could focus on developing Home.

Today just proves that PS3 owners will go to any lengths to blindly follow Sony, and accept and even justify its many delays, cancellations, and flops. You'd be damn sure that if Microsoft pulled this jazz, I would be the first to trash them. After all, I used to be a Cow during the PS2 days.

Do you think another development team (SCEA for example) could take over development of 8 Days and G3? It seems silly of Sony to cancel 2 games when they could just get someone else to develop them. Or maybe they will resume development once Home comes out?

This pretty much sums it up.

I'm afraid we won't be seeing games using the full potential until the end of its life cycle.

What he said, the Getaway and Eight Days are kind of understandble. They've been touting home for ages now, might as well actually get to work it on.

Red Alert 3 is because of the PS3's damn difficult architecture.

Yeah, you have tons of credibility...

And how would you explain me? I am hardly a blindly loyal cow, and yet I find this "outcry" by obvious non-PS3 owners more than a little absurd.

I doubt it. I honestly think, given the lack of any kind of media in ages on either, that the games were struggling in development. I am pretty sure that they are axed for good.

here is a link to fps testing. The 360 did better in all the tests. Also PS3 did not run at steady 28-29 like you said.

In time we will look back at this time and see that in the end all the delays and cancellations had more to do with the developer and not Sony. When the developers get the hardware/software down in the PS3 then the games will start rolling out at faster rate than they are now.

Did you not follow the thread at all?

I wouldn't comment on the OB myself on PS3, since I bought it and played it on 360. I was saying that the OB was the game I expected to be mentioned, since it is always brought up as an example of poor ports on PS3.

What these Sony fans don't seem to understand is that the PS3 is a sinking ship. Delays, cancellations, endless flops, and poor multiplats are all that they know- it's like they have no idea that there is a viable liferaft aboard the sinking PS3 ship (that liferaft being the 360, to save them from gaming oblivion).

The worst part is that you never heard hardcore cows complain about anything Sony does. Mark my words, if Microsoft screwed up in a way that affected my gaming, I would complain. Yes, the RROD is a problem, but thank goodness they spent more than the GDP of most countries ($1 billion) to remedy it.

How does that not have to do with Sony? They chose to use a unique architecture which is said to be difficult to program for. On top of that, their decision to release PS3 later than its chief competitor and at a higher price point has led to it having smallest install base and the lowest attach rate. I'd hardly blame the devs for that, they do after all have to make money.

Maybe with time the added complexity in PS3 hardware will pay off with games that are leaps and bounds ahead of their competitors, but atm it certainly has not.

Home isn't really a game, but I would just take it as a nice idea that may be great or might just be a waste, and let it be a surprise when it hits.

[QUOTE="IDateWhiteChick"]Today just proves that PS3 owners will go to any lengths to blindly follow Sony, and accept and even justify its many delays, cancellations, and flops. You'd be damn sure that if Microsoft pulled this jazz, I would be the first to trash them. After all, I used to be a Cow during the PS2 days.IDateWhiteChick

You say blindly follow? My sig totally disproves what you say. You hold reviews high and mighty, so you "blindly follow" too.

Your logic is undeniable. LOL! Note the difference between a "game review" and a "console manufacturer" and get back to me.

Oh?like you have room to talk.

[QUOTE="jimm895"]In time we will look back at this time and see that in the end all the delays and cancellations had more to do with the developer and not Sony. When the developers get the hardware/software down in the PS3 then the games will start rolling out at faster rate than they are now.KodiakGTS

If you look back at the PS1 and PS2 when they were released Sony was looking as far in the future as possible with the hardware. I for one don't always look at the now but instead look at what is possible in the future. The thing is when the developers really get's the PS3 down things will be much different.

The ps3 is hard to develop for

After all these bad multiplats, game delays, and game cancellations......why arent cows getting the message yet?

The PS3 is hard to develop for.

-GhostMLD-

Name a bad multiplat???

Bad multiplat simultaneous release: R6V2, ET: Quake Wars, Turok, Madden 08, PES 08.

BAd multiplats (with PS3 delay over 360 version): Orange box, Ghost recon 2, R6V, Fight Night Round 3, Lost Planet.

Game cancellations: Frontlines: Fuel of War, Getaway, Eight Days, Red Alert 3, Two Worlds.

Thats off the top of my head.

just because these game faver on the 360 does not mean it atuomaticly they were bad. orange box was ported by ea so that right there should tell you. lost planet sucked anyways. the rest of the games you listed look good to me.

ghost recon 2 had better lighting on the ps 3 but less textures

turock look almost the same

r6v look almost the same as well.

yes the ps 3 is harder to develope for but not imposible.

I was referring to the "blindly follow" part. You "blindy follow" Gamespot and stay away from any games that get an 8.5. Dont tell me about blindly following anything.

Havent you lied about owning a PS3 just to bash it? You must be sooo loyal to Microsoft that you are willing to get on a message board and flat out lie just to make it's main competitor look bad. I enjoy my PS3, if I didnt, I wouldnt play it. I dont blindly follow.

But oh well, you must be having a rough day. NG2 "flopped" by System War standards (which is ridiculous anyway) so you might have been up all night, and cried about it this morning. Those are words straight out of your mouth.

360+ Pc is a lucrative option. DS is a lucrative option. Wii is a good option.

PS3 is not a lucrative option. In a few years it'll be getting less games than the PSP

Ok. Again, Eight Days and The Getaway were being developed by SCE London. SCE London is also in charge of Home.

With the delays to Home and the gamer outcries over it, I am sure Sony heads cut all the other SCE London projects so that it could focus on developing Home.

heretrix

That brings my already low expectation of home down several notches.

Why? In regards to the Getaway, another developer developed the rest. This was meant to be their first attempt at it.

That's for sure. The new Xbox console will be launching by then and no one will care for PS3 except those who can't afford the new console or simply (and more likely) can't get their hands on one.

says one of the biggest ps 3 hatings on here. sony first party is bigger than nin and micro put together so more first party tiltles coming ower way. the ps 3 has more games than the 360 in the same life span. if you take the 360 1.5 year you would see that there are more ps 3 games than the 360 had. so now what does this mean the 360 will not have that many games like the psp as you say.

the ps 2 says hi. i don't think the price of these consoles today people will jump so quickly next timme unless microsoft does the samething before and stop making 360 games.

plus your saying it will take the ps 3 4 years to get rolling that funny.
