What is going on with PS3 developpers?

I was referring to the "blindly follow" part. You "blindy follow" Gamespot and stay away from any games that get an 8.5. Dont tell me about blindly following anything.

I usually don't agree with what you write but htis time I do. While you may not "blindly follow" Sony there are ALOT of people who do which is simply sad. (There are just as many 360 followers as well too though)

Lying about owning a console to simply bash it makes no sense at all to me. When I bash PS3 or Sony I bash it based on expierence. I may not say what people want to hear about it but at least I have the right to do so since I infact own the console. I gain NOTHING from bashing or praising any console so really it's all just for clarification.

NG2 "flopping" with a solid 8 is indeed ridiculous since an 8 is a solid score. It'd be like a professor in college saying you didn't graduate because you got a B. We only accept A graduates. System Wars is a bit thickheaded and ignorant though.

PC/360 - Two systems with a remarkably similar architecture. A Huge userbase and the 360 has killer software sales. Dev costs are quite high but system is very developer friendly

DS- best handheld ever. Most popular handheld ever

Wii - Gamecube pro with a remote. Tiny dev costs. Flavor of the moment. Selling like hotcakes. Market leader

Don't be ridiculous please. Remember last gen? Ps2 was the hardest console to develop for on the other hand Gamecube was the easiest. I don't have a proof link for that but anybody could research and I'll gladly accept any information that proves otherwise.

What about PS2? MANY gamers did not move onto the next gen (current gen) simply because they couldn't score a new console (sold out) or couldn't afford it. No where other then a handful of developers concentrated their efforts on the PS2 unless it was a game easy enough to program on all consoles. And YES at this rate with the PS3 I AM saying it'll take 3 years for the PS3 to get rolling and we're closing in on 2 now thus meaning 1 year left. 360 will be heading to 4 and I'm betting the COW Microsoft switches focus and reveals the new Xbox console by year late year 4 and releases by year 5 or 5 and half during the PS3's "primetime" or finally achieveing the "just wait" period cows spoke of in 06!

Anyway, the PS3 is not and never will be the PS2, so stop these comparisons. And just because the PS3 has as many games as the 360 did after a year and a half isn't saying much. The PS3 will never catch up to the 360 in games available and game sold during this generation, at least not unless they keep making PS3 games for a year or two after the next XBOX is released. And the 4 years thing is not completely unfeasible- it has already been out for almost a year and 8 months.

Again this gen Microsoft's goal was NOT to dominate and claim superiority but to whittle away and chip away the dominant market share and attention Sony had with the Playstation brand and coupled with Sony's own internal blunders it did JUST that gaining a firmer foothold then the previous Xbox console did. but the install base has been the same as xbox 1 other than the us.

im not saying the 360 is not a threat to sony but all sony needs to do is try a little harder.

Today just proves that PS3 owners will go to any lengths to blindly follow Sony, and accept and even justify its many delays, cancellations, and flops. Yes, it is. It really explains everything. It explains why most multiplats are worse on PS3 than 360...the PS3 is so hard to program for, that some developers basically give up after a certain point. This is why you'll see more framerate issues and stuff with most multiplats on PS3. This is also why there are several titles that have been canceled. Also, the PS3 is apparently the most expensive console to develop for.

Man the xbots get mad when they realize they bought a crud of a console. I mean its old hardware and thats the only thing going for it, easy to program for. Xbl services was done by others prior so you can't say that it all started with them so don't bash the ps3 for getting its services up and running. Oh yea some of those movies yall rent prolly comes from sony entertainment aswell so don't think sony want have there movie section in the near future. And as for coping last I heard the 360 was trying to get a bluray addon lol aswell as a motion sensing controller and allow people to make mods. Also heard yall want group chat sessions lol.

People talk about blindly following sony, that just makes me laugh when I talk to people who have had their 360 worked on not once but 2 or 3 times from the rrod. Ps3 more expensive? Hmm really no matter when you bought yours it was the same price once you added the xbl service to play online. And still didn't get a bluray player out of the deal. So don't be mad that you thought you were smart for buying a cheaper console but in reality you bought a more expensive one.

Sony has had more canceled games than the 360 has exclusives lol or good games in fact. After 3 years there is only 1 game worth having on that system and that is Gears, and maybe halo. Just this year alone we are going to have more games than that and better games than coming out. But each year the 360 will be living on gears2, gears3, gears4, gears5 lol. Oh yea talk about yalls smashing library and I can tell you your just throwing names around cause most of which I wouldn't even consider buying. The fact of the matter is the ps3 is the present and the future with great games coming out and some that have already been out. The ps3 does not live on one great game but many so resources have to be shared unlike on the 360 where they just threw money around for Halo and gears cause that is yalls console 1 maybe 2 games. So don't talk library.

Xbots just stop the bashing cause with each passing day your arguments are going down the drain. And the realization that you have nothing to look forward to except another gears game. While I have updates, great 3rd party games, great 1st party games, mods, internet and bluray movies to be excited about each week and month with my ps3.

And about the OBox, I've got to say I loved it on the pc and haven't played it on the ps3 but what I've heard its just has fps issue during loading times while your still progressing in the game. Well thats not a problem at all, cause on the pc right in the middle of the action, gameplay stops to load the next section. And talk about long load times, they were extremely long. Longer than anything I've came across on the ps3. So if that is whats wrong on the ps3 side I laugh at the xbots trying to make that an issue lol.

And the 1st year of the 360 yall had alot of terrible games some of which looked like a ps2 game. And out of 11 games I have for the ps3 none of which look like a ps2 except maybe madden 07 lol. Also about the ps3 being hard to develop for is true and the 360 easy to develop for is true but the ps3 still stands toe to toe with the 360. So I look forward to the day that all developers get it together cause once again I have something to look forward to while the 360 is still having what it has today while the ps3 moves forward.

Very well put. The thing is when developers get a handle on the PS3 then the games will look as good as HS or better. Once this happens things will really get interesting in the M$ camp.
