Im not going to play by the rules of your flamebait thread. Congratulations, you dislike Halo, along with millions of others. What do you want, a cookie? Do you think you're unique or special because you dont like a popular series of games?
Ill tell you what Halo is. Its a hugely popular series, actually the most popular console FPS of all time. Not only does it sell millions and millions, but it receives universal accliam. People who dislike the series are entitled to their opinion, but they don't need to keep reminding us who do like Halo that they dislike it. Because to be quite frank, i couldnt give a toss about you not liking Halo, and im guessing any other Halo fan will say the same.
Anyone who calls Halo overrated is a hater, either driven by jealousy or a need for attention. When a game gets near perfect reviews scores everywhere, it is not overrated.
the Franchise that established the end of Sonys dominance in gaming.
the brand that established MS as a major player that even Nintendo respects.
as well as the title ( HALO 3 ) that has Outsold EVERY PS3 exclusive to date by itself at 10 Million copies.
EPIC THREAD FAIL

I think we're done here:)
The campaigns are great in every game. The multiplayer was awesome in 1 and 2. Halo 1 and 2 are two of the best shooters ever.
Halo 3 had a fun campaign, but the multiplayer was so unbalanced and broken that I'm just sick of the series now. Especially since the release of the Reach beta, because it not only had all the problems that Halo 3 multiplayer had, it made those problems worse. And based on Bungie's comments they're not going to change any of those things.

And here we have yet another overly zealous fan who does not understand the meaning of "overrated". Excellent.
As for my response? Moderately enjoyable but unremarkable and unmemorable series of games. At least, based on what I've played of it (which admittedly isn't a lot) that's the impression I've gotten so far.
Do you even know the definition? Here it is 'To overestimate the merits of; rate too highly."
If you call Halo overrated, you are basically saying every single reviewer out there is wrong. That they have rated it too highly. You can have your opinion, and you can dislike the series all you want, I don't care. But your opinion isnt better than anyone elses. And if im going to go online to check to see if a games good, and I see your dislike for the game but then universal AAA praise from profession review sources, I know that ill be checking that game out asap.
Overrated is used far too much here. If a game gets an AAA on Gamespot, and A everywhere else, then you could call it overrated at Gamespot. But when it comes to Halo, just no.
What is attention-seeking:The termattention seeking(orattention-seeking) is generally reserved for such situations, where excessive and "inappropriate attention seeking" is seen.
Seriously stop acting like you are the only one who hates Halo. But using the term over-rated is even worse. Considering it's one of the highest scoring games of all time, it isn't over-rated. Considering it has one of the biggest fan-bases of all time, that means it isn't over-rated.
Oh, is that what that Halo is for? Didn't know why I got that. :PA hat given to the brave TF2 players who didn't idle to get items for their backback.

Huh? They updated their site and released a podcast saying they'll fix every problem besides bloom, they want to keep it in but improve upon it. Where'd you read those b.s. comments? The campaigns are great in every game. The multiplayer was awesome in 1 and 2. Halo 1 and 2 are two of the best shooters ever.

I was saying that Reach is unbalanced and broken just like Halo 3--power weapons are too powerful, grenades are inconsistent, and a plethora of other problems that have already been discussed and argued everywhere. Please read posts that you respond to more carefully in the future. While there were other "problems" in the Reach beta, they were technical ones to be expected in any beta. I'm talking about inherent gameplay and engine flaws.

i was frequently on the bungie website during the times of the beta. some problems were the grenades yes and others were the fact that vechicles are now weak as hell. but a lot and i do mean A LOT of people were just b****ing about the BR not being in the game/ DMR not being the all powerful god gun that the BR was. Please Log In to post.
