Microsofts unwillingness to develop franchises beyond a hand-full of big sellers. As long as they don't cultivate IP and put faith in quality IP, it will always be a console brand that identifies more as a spreadsheet than a great console.
It's too late for Microsoft to recover. They messed up with the weaker hardware and that whole online required and no used games debacle. This gen is lost to them, no matter what. Shame, as the xbox is the only console I can tolerate using because of its superior controller.

Single-Player only games like beat em ups that collect dust after 1 playthrough.
Wut? I could've gone "har har" with your other examples, but beat em ups are usually designed around the idea that you'll replay them at least a few times. With any proper beat em up, the first play is like a lengthy hands-off tutorial. If you're playing games like NG, Bayo, or DMC in a one-off fashion, you're not even scratching the surface of those games. Titles like those can easily net you hundreds of hours of play.
But what makes the comment especially weird is that, by brand, MS consoles arguably have the best beat em up line up of the bunch lol.
@Pedro: no he's right Xbox just has the most miniscule 1st party I ever saw majority of it was bought so it had little to know impact when it became exclusive to Xbox. They'd make a way bigger splash if they made their own ip instead of buying everything
Funny to me how Sega died out console wise but Xbox is still in the game. Sega brought a ton of 1st party IPs to the table but they got crushed by Sony and Nintendo. Now we have Xbox with practically zero 1st party IPs and they are still surviving. Weird. To answer the original question here Xbox is missing 1st party titles. Also when it comes to unique games not available on Sony a d Nintendo consoles you can get almost all of then plus thousands of games on gog, steam, etc that you can't on the Xbox so I don't really see why anyone would buy an Xbox. I am a happy PC/Nintendo gamer and have wayyyyy too many games to play lol.

Gears of War actually has more women characters then any game i can think of? Off the top of my head there is about 5 or 6 females you can pick for multiplayer.
