For the same reason people praise any game?
They want to play it.

Kinda hard to prove itself when its not out yet, isn't it. :?
When this happens, people usually look at the developer's previous games.
Then again, that doesn't work in this situation, since Rag Doll Kung Fu was pretty awful (well, unique and entertaining for an hour or two, and then unplayably dull after that).
But yeah, anyway...perhaps MS will come up with some kind of Halo-equivalent of Garrysmod?
which equates to FAILURE[QUOTE="C_BozkurT_C"][QUOTE="Elviathan"]A $199, $299, and $399 console. :)KGB32
i dont understand it... why think price drops = fail?
i mean is the PS3 a fail since it went from 599 USD to 399?
Guess so huh?[QUOTE="verbtex"][QUOTE="MojondeVACA"]But banjo is proven franchise,LBP isnt.

Sony came with Buzz , Microsoft copied it and came with Scene it! .
Sony made Eyetoy and its various games, Microsoft tagged along and created "In the movies" for their camera.
They will probably copy LBP if the game becomes a success.

They can't copy LBP and not be obvious , really it's kinda a unique game... and i can't understand how they could copy it :P

Well there are games out there already that use the same formula as Littlebigplanet.
Blast works (wii) and Phun (PC) comes to mind. They can, and i kinda hope that they do.

WTF WHEN DID YOU BECOME A MOD!?!?!
you know how many arguements I had with you?!?
a cow mod eh..
anyway MS doesnt need an answer, even if LBP is a good game, I dont see it taking off and becomming a huge hit, at least with the masses

see? this guys sig is what I think about LBP, every time I see it, its always of NOTHING, just a bunch of screwing around, nothing that looks like ACTUAL GAMEPLAY
just shallow
SONY gave gamers GT series and became mega success, MS hit back with Forza Motorsort series...........
SONY gave gamers SINGSTAR, MS hit back with LIPS............
Now in near future SONY Will gave gamers LBP, and that game received positive response from everyone including in Jpn. Look like LBP series will follow GT success...............
So what is MS answer to LBP ?
Foxhound_spy
How is Forza a ripoff of the GT series. There were racing games long before GT. Singstar, Lips are all basically kareoke which is lame. LBP is pretty much a game which allows you to mod, which has been done on PC for ages. MS will probably still follow the trends but there is nothing original for either of them.

Yes unique if you don't realize the industry hasn't existed for over 20+ years. LBP is a total ripoff, just overhyped for the benfit of fanboys...

You realize the game Scene It existed way before Buzz? Eyetoy was copied ioff of PC and Nintendo (Nintendo did it for the gameboy) So who copies again?

SolidTy
How can you honestly say THAT, and sport a BRAID Avatar?
You are kind of funny.
Because MS didn't woefully overhype Braid as the 2nd coming klike Sony has with LBP. This is just like the WWE, taking a mediocre wrestler and announcing his debut with weeks of highly produced viginettes. I'm willing to bet the interface will be so frustrating to use most people will buy it and then get rid of it quickly...

Yes, the board game. How the 360 version came about was the Vice President of gaming for Xbox Europe, played BUZZ with his family and wanted to have a game like that for 360. Microsoft agreed, as they do want to penetrate the casual market.
The Scene it was just a license that Microsoft could purchase to get that idea out there. The implementaion of Scene It 360 was inspired completely from BUZZ.
Microsoft doesn't need an answer to LBP. What's Sony's answer Gears and Halo? Resistance and Warhawk.. not likely. Those games didn't outsell Halo 3 combined. This thread makes no sense unless you're a PS3 fanboy. Millennium_King
well, outselling a game doesnt neccessarily mean BETTER, right??? ... though i must admit, gears is friggin awesome... imagine gears on a BLURAY though... ^^ haha .. i agree this thread makes no sense but i dont i agree you sayin that the host is a fanboy, rather it's his own observation... who are you to condemn him for that? we are here to discuss, JUST or ALMOST just off-hand topics, and youre just sayin that he's a fanboy... i wonder though why youre postin here if this thread DOES make no sense...
ehem, spore, anyone?
if you guys got a ps3/xbox360/wii, am sure you got a pc at the back right? at least a laptop??? O.O
 umm this !
It's 10 years since Rare turned out the original Banjo-Kazooie on N64, in a blummin' marvellous platformer that rivalled Mario 64 in the gameplay stakes while charming us with the Britsoft studio's irresistibly quirky humour.
To make the series relevant to today's discerning gamer, the duo's long-awaited return this November in Nuts & Bolts sees Rare jumping on the user-created content bandwagon, offering a blend of traditional platforming and custom vehicle creation, with a big emphasis on the online community.
We recently visited Rare to take an in-depth look at how the game was shaping up, which you can read all about in our detailed preview , and go further behind the scenes in our Eurogamer TV Special .
But we also made it out of Twycross with a good deal of exclusive, direct-feed footage captured from the latest build of the game, which you can check out below.
Vehicle Editor- This is, if you'll forgive us, the nuts and bolts of the new Banjo experience. Create and customise vehicles with an increasing range of parts as you progress through the game. And you can share your best blueprints with others over Xbox Live.
Showdown Town- Welcome to the hubworld of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. All of the game's areas are accessible from here, although you'll need a seriously pimped-out motor before you can reach everywhere.
Challenges- Nuts & Bolts is packed with mini-games that promise to give it that 'one more go' feeling, as you try a few more tweaks under the bonnet to beat your best scores.
Multiplayer - Arguably as big a draw as the single-player portion, Rare has exploited the current fad for user-created content with a range of games that will put your most ingenious vehicle designs to the test.
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is due out on Xbox 360 in November.
There isn't always an answer to everything. What is Sony's answer to Viva Pinata or Mass Effect? What is Texas' answer to snow?

Hhhmmm.. I don't know. Probably the same answer Sony would give for Viva Pinata 2, I guess.

You mean above the cost of the system and games? Zilch. Zip. Not only do I not pay for XBL, I've never even used the 2 free codes I have for it (3 free months each). No wireless router. No HDDVD player. I bought a VGA cable off of ebay to get the dvds to upscale for 2 cents. So my extra cost has been two pennies.
Oh, and my step-daughter bought a Guitar controller to play GH3, but I assume we're not counting that.
So unless I'm literally the only person like me around, I guess "ALMOST" necessary doesn't carry the weight it used to... like almost pregnant, or almost human.

I spent $349.99 back in February for mine. So that's about it. Now for games and Live, I couldn't tell ya. There is no necessary add-ons that must be purchased. The add-ons are purely optional. Although I will admit they may be needed depending on ones setup, but they are still purely optional. So please do a little research before making blind fanboy statements.

gosh dude. why didnt you just buy a ps2 for crying out loud if your not into online. cmon, the ps3 has blu-ray has far but ALMOST like characteristics as a good as new pc. ^^ what are you even doing in this THREAD?!?

hell they're praising it right now before the public has even touched it. if it becomes a flop, it will defy almost every statement the PS3 fanboys have said. LBP has been their scape goat for countless bashing threads toward the PS3, and you always see the line "Well at least PS3 has LBP" thats like asking "Why do you say vulgar things on online gamees?" and the person replies "1st amendment B****!". it's a crock of s***....
Just like when the PS3 fanboys were praisng Dragon Lair, GT, and Haze before they were released. after that no more talk except for wait until Home comes out or Killzone. and that was about a year ago. Still no home or Killzone rel;eased on the Delaystation 3.

For your first question: I can't play Oblivion and Mass Effect on a PS2. As for the second... I don't see "XBL membership only" in the thread title.
