Shadow of Mordor really stands out on that list as a trash game. I guess TLOU is the correct answer, but voted for RDR, because I saw a really cool Morricone montage the other day.
Edit: here it is 3>
While red dead redemption is a masterpiece, the best part of this video is ennio morricone, not red dead redemption.
And while i do agree with shadow of mordor, tlou is even worse.
The best game of the last 5 years is dragon's dogma, no contest.

You do have a point about Morricone being the star of that vid. You do NOT have a point about TLOU being worse than SoM lol.

we can always agree to disagree about that

Steins Gate, Streets of Rage Remake are not in steam store, huh?
Bayonetta 2. Might be the best action game I ever played. Other notables include Splatoon and SM3DW.
Civilization V. 2000+ hours and still counting. Nuking Gandi over a dispute of a gold resource never gets old
2010 Jabroni, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayonetta
Came out the same month as Mass Effect 2. Trust me there were a lot of fun GUFU threads from 2010.
Ah. Damn, 2010 was a beast year then.
2010 is the best year of gen 7, anything else does not stack up. I'll take that debate against anyone. One or two years might have a higher volume of "good games" maybe, but 2010's top end was a bunch of GOTY type games that would have been GOTY type games in any other year but that year because of how stacked it was.

How about 2007? SMG, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Portal, Half Life Episode 2, Metroid Prime 3, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Pokemon D/P, God of War II, Persona 3, Professor Layton, The World Ends With You...

TWEWY was 2008
The bold are not good games, and needed their sequels to make up for their shit. Uncharted had shit shooting and atrocious level design. Assassin's Creed was a borefest, and Mass Effect was like this poorly produced "RPG" with shit action mechanics, terrible sidequests, with the only thing validating it being the context and atmosphere of the experience.
Mario Galaxy is great, fresh and clean, didn't mean SMG2 didn't stomp on it.
Metroid Prime 3 is a disappointment as far as I'm concerned, and I'd say the same about Halo 3. Bioshock is cool plot wise, you know right up until that final third, Portal is terrific, God of War 2 is the only God of War I actually like. And you're missing Shadow of CHernobyl, Team Fortress 2, and Crysis.
Now 2010
There is the triple A buttfuck GOTY contenders that people gas up
-Red Dead Redemption - and I'll go to bat for John Marston being a legit character
-Mass Effect 2
Add on stuff like
-Bayonetta
-Super Meat Boy
-Super Street Fighter 4
-Super Mario Galaxy 2
-Amnesia The Dark Descent
-Fallout New Vegas
-Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty
-Civilization V (dem hexes, don't hate)
And that's the top of the card as far as I'm concerned, here the undercard from that year is pretty stacked as well across the Multiplats, PC exclusives, wii exclusives, and like a bone or two between the PS3 and 360: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_in_video_gaming
Not dissing 2007, it's a beast year, it has a lot of fresh ideas, it was like the start of the big run. But I think some of the "noteworthy" releases of that year aren't actually that good, and got some early in the gen free passes. 2010 tighter game design, and the under the radar stuff of 2010 absolutely clowns the under the radar stuff of 07 if we go to that argument, the indie scene was becoming more and more of a thing around that time.
Gen 7 was "STRONG" from 07-11 as far as I'm concerned with 12-13 being where it stalled out with some noteable good releases. But 2010 is my pick for best year of that generation.
Diablo 3
LOL
Yep, over 4000hrs played and still fun to play. No other game comes even close to that...
Diablo 3 is great game. There is a reason why people played Diablo 2 for over a decade. Blizzard games have a lot of replay value.
Diablo 3 is trash. Repetitive as **** with no penalty for dying.
idk I go back and forth between The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite, right now probably TLOU because I replayed it more recently

So it's ARPGs that suck then? Good to know.

My point was, if it sucks then by your logic every ARPG sucks. So seems like ARPGs aren't your thing. Good to know.

They aren't my thing because they suck.

"They suck because I don't like them". Sorry but things don't work like that. I respect your opinion though.

People are still under the impression D3 is still the same as it was at launch, so it still receives hate.
Too little, too late.
Well, guess you're missing out on a great game then. Your loss.
Other: I've gotten more mileage out of Civilization V than my next 3 most-played games combined.
There isn't console game in existence that gives the replay value of Civilisation, though I've out more time into Empire Total War than Civ V (only 212 hours logged on that)
Out of the ones in the poll, it's a tie between The Last of Us and ALBW.
But Mass Effect 2+3 have by far been my most favourite games not just in the last 5 years, they've probably been my favourite games of all time.

The Witcher, Crysis, Team Fortress 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, World in Conflict.... Too bad Sierra merged with Activision in that year. Greg Kasavin left & Gamespot was not the same after that.
