What is the best game of this year so far?

This year has already been amazing for me, I already played three of the best games ever. Three games that remind me why I love gaming so much.

1. Day of Infamy

2. Aaero

3. Yooka-Laylee

I can't really find any choice in the poll though, but what I can find is a bunch of low scoring, overhyped AAA games :D

This is the worst possible year to make a statement like this lol. If you really think Breath of the Wild, Horizon, Persona, Nioh, Nier, Resident Evil, or Yakuza are 'low scoring overhyped AAA games', I don't know what to say to you.

The three games I listed are insanely more creative and inherently designed around fun instead of trying to milk people with broken products/season passes.

Except for maybe breath of the wild, horizon, persona and NIER :)

Haven't played any of them which makes me completely unbiased. Given that Sony tends to objectively make the best exclusive games I voted Horizon. It looks real cool and I think I pick it up after finishing the Witcher.

I'll be shocked if I like a game this year more than I like Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild was everyone's favourite game last month.. What happened? I know everyone is sick of it now due to it being talked about so much, but it's still everyone's favourite game deep down.

From that list I liked RE7 the best. I'm still playing through trying to get achievements, and playing through the ( mostly) awesome DLC. Great game. I see you left out Yooka Laylee, which honestly wasn't a bad move since it's not even that good lol. An other option in the poll woulda been nice though.

I might play it one day, I never finished 4G. Mind you, that's a damned good game, but I stopped playing for a long time and now its too hard for me to get back into it.

I will buy Nier first though, that's next on the list, except for maybe buying Bayonetta on PC.

One of the best games that I have ever played.

That I've played... Mass Effect Andromeda followed by For Honor. I have Zelda on the NS but haven't opened it or the system yet; had it since launch.

Zelda is easily the best game I've played that released this year. I haven't played Nioh yet, though.

That's the list for me so far, and the only (2017 released)games I've beaten this year so far.

i havent played all of them but from what i have played (BOTW and P5) zelda by miles. these are the only 2 games that got my attention (sadly ME seems to be a misfire....i really really wanted that to be good :( ).

When does it hook you?

I just beat the boss in the desert, and so far my impression are that it's "decent".

I'm just pushing through, because it seems like the type of game that really gets rolling once you're further into it.

Oh, and not to be a graphics whore, but damn the texture switching/pop in needs a mod badly. Not so noticeable on my smaller TV, but on my 70" it's really noticeable and distracting.

Persona 5

I have Persona 5 (got it day one) but haven't played it yet because I was already playing ME Andromeda.

From what I've played on the list, the best by far is ME Andromeda, I really love this game, sue me. Close second is Nier Automata. Honestly it was very close between these 2. Third would be Horizon a game I really liked that just simply is not as good as ME Andromeda or as original and entertaining as Nier Automata.

I'm sure all sorts of things will change when I get round to playing Persona 5. What a year though yeah I know it's only April wtf.

Even Wii emu...cough...cough... Isn't the best. I'm sure Ce..Cough..cough... will take time to mature.

Dude, performance is still pretty shat. Cemu is a ways off being anywhere near decent. Though, it's hopefully coming up fast.

Anyway, we're arguing semantics, as you said 4k "soon." That could be in 3 years for all we know.

Dude , you sound like game is unplayable or other Wii U titles cant be played. Its decent and its getting better day by day. And yes there are some guys with a playable 4K version. Stable fps ? Tie for me between Nioh and RE7. Love them both for different reasons. Once I finally get my hands on a Switch I can't wait for Zelda BOTW.

Best 4 me was Nioh, but that's all I've really had time/money to play so far. I need more of these games. Next up will be Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 and a copy of Zelda. Still waiting for Tekken 7 and some other stuff. 2017 has been the best year so far.
