Dynamic shadows.

@FoxbatAlpha Why are we even posting FH2's old school cubemap reflection? The game doesn't even do proper SSR. Driveclub still kills FH2's photomode despite the latter being heavily downsampled and touched up, have lems no shame? Do you honestly think you can bypass a prerendered shot like this Fox?
Shadow/Lighting.
Those 2 things is what are graphics all about. The better those 2 are , the closest to reality we going. You can have decent textures with awesome dynamic lighting/shadows and the results being x1000 better than having top notch textures with crappy lighting.

Nope. FH2 uses screen space reflections on the wet roads just the same as DriveClub will when the weather patch comes. But DriveClub uses real time reflections everywhere including tunnel walls, rocks etc.
LET´S USE GAMEPLAY PICTURES. FAKE PHOTOSHOP PICTURES THAT WERE RELEASED BEFORE DOWNGRADE DOES NOT COUNT.
The best graphical feature will give you a new look to your game. There are having many tools and techniques you will adopt to give a new best graphical look to your game. You can apply different pattern design tips, apply textures, add effects.
I'm very interested in physics effects like they have in the Arkham series. There's some of that in Forza 5 with stuff flying everywhere on the Top Gear track.

I played both games. FH2 has better lighting and better graphics. DriveClub does not even have shadows. Amazing? Nope. I played over 100 race games. DriveClub is not even top 10 when we talking about graphics. Few maps even looks like PLAYSTATION 2 GAME. Compressed? Nope. Those are all fair pictures. Those are both took from SHARE BUTTON. YOU CAN SEE PICTURES YOURSELF!!! Also even if i took picture with picture mode, IT DOES NOT CHANGE GRAPHICS. ITS SITLL GAMEPLAY, IN GAME.
I LISTED HD PICTURES
If you call DriveClub amazing, then you A)PS fanboy; B)DriveClub is your first racing game.
YOU ARE SUCH A NOOB.

^ Says Driveclub has no shadows... proceeds to post screencaps with clearly visible shadows.

Nope. Those pictures are all gameplay, no photo mode.
Nightflash28 only car shadow but everything else? lol
Artstyle
Came in here to say this. A game using 20 year old tech can look better than a game using state of the art visual techniques simply because of artstyle.
Out of the modern goodies, probably ambient occlusion. But that's pretty much standard now. But I feel it makes a big difference to give objects a sense of depth/presence, it also enhances the fidelity of the lighting to make it appear that its bouncing off surfaces indirectly.
DoF looks great in still shots. But it's annoying and inconsistent during gameplay. It doesnt really simulate how we perceive depth fast/precise enough and if it tries to do it at the pace of a human eye, the transition just looks bad.
Subsurface scattering can be amazing when you see it implemented properly, but its rare that you'd notice that its there. Looks wonderful on fabric, skin, water or plants/grass or pretty much any semi-transparent surface/object.
Lighting > Detail > Draw Distance > Textures
Its why once you mod Skyrim it looks incredible because you can see so far and there's so much detail in the environment and with the right ENB everything just glistens along with high res textures.
Its why Evil Within in looks like a** poor lighting and horrible textures which leaves you with just detail and no draw distance because its a corridor shooter.
All i want is good amount of quality AA. A game with great art style, shadow etc looks meh without AA or even worst when FXAA is used.
