What is the best Legend of Zelda game?

OoT was my favorite but...

ALttP, Minish Cap, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, LoZ are soooooo gooood.

skyward sword had beautiful worlds a great cinematic story and the controls ive always wanted in a sword fighting game. oot aged badly , majora was awesome , wind waker was boring, tp was bland.

But in all seriousness, I'd say Ocarina of Time is my favorite. I've never been too big on 2D Zelda games (I guess because I grew up with a PlayStation and N64).

Majora's Mask.

Twilight Princess for me is the definitive Zelda title.

For the Music alone along with the fact it's less tedious to play than Zelda 2.

OOT is probably the most overrated game ever. (still a great game though)

Ocarina of Time

I'm puzzled as to how anyone can choose the first two. Those games are thoroughly outdated as hell.

@TigerSuperman: Somehow I knew that would be your contribution to this topic.

After years of playing the majority of the games in the series the one I always keep coming back to is Windwaker. The visuals, the world, and even the sailing draw me in so much, I just get the feeling of exploration and the atmosphere is great. Every game is great though. That is why I own all of the main console games except Majoras Mask which I get on the 13th. Woot.

Link's Awakening

I played it before ALTTP, so it was my first 'big' Zelda game, an achievement I always find astonishing given it was just a GB game. I love the thematically different dungeons, the music, the melancholy, and the wackiness of the world. It's certainly smaller than ALTTP, but I find it more intimate as a result.

Windwaker for me, i loved the sailing aspect.

That's me as well Celda FTW but OOT is a close second but I just loved that Big Blue open world sailing a bunch.

Skyward Sword just to piss off Charizard. lol

It's a million times better then Persona 4 Golden.

I get sick just thinking about how it must have been without a Swift Sail.

Ocarina of time Imo.

To tough to call personally.

Majora, Ocarina, LttPast, and Between Worlds were all amazing.

The new one for Wii-U looks insanely bland from what I've seen so far, however, it might be good that I have low expectations for it because I thought Skyward looked amazing in previews and turned out super whatever when I finally played it...

OoT because it stands the test of time.
