What is the Best Looking Console of All Time? (56k)

I gotta say that bsides the Wii Nintendo makes some pretty ugly consoels in my opinion.

Snes pal was better looking than the Genesis, by far

Nintendo 64 was the last console that actually looked like a console and not a DVD player (well maybe DC too) I absolutely love its design. N 1 for me

Gamecube's design stood the test of time alot better than the PS2 FAT and the ugly XBOX behemoth

Right now, the Wii is the best looking console this gen, to me.

The original DS phat was ugly, that i completely agree. But thats about it

Although I liked the look of the PAL SNES, it's not a patch on the Mega Drive 1's ingenious design.

I also don't like the way Nintendo seems to have taken a leaf out of Apple's books in designing the Wii. It looks sleek, but nothing more imho.

Best looking electronic to come out of the 90's. Still looks better than any MS console made.

Well to be honest both the original MD and the MDII look as good for diferent reasons in my book, but they feel abit too cheaper in quality materials. I think its the plastic

But yeah they look good.

Still prefer the PAL SNES though :). The US one and the redesigns? Not so much :/

What the hell is that thing docked under the console? :shock: I don't rememeber seeing one of those for the US model.

The Far Cry 2 PS3 has nothing on this one

Before I bombard you with pics of what I think are the most beautiful systems of all time, let me tell you the ones I do not like. I think both of Microsoft's systems (Xbox and Xbox 360) look unrefined, they aren't particularly ugly, it's just that they don't look sleek at all. The original PS2 I also think is ugly but the slim is downright sexy.The PS3 is not ugly but it's bulky for me to really love it. The Nintendo 64 and Gamecube were ok, but they just don't have that look that makes me think high-tech machinery which is what I want from my console designs. The Virtual Boy was too bulky and . . . red. Jaguar looked ok, but the controller is the ugliest controller ever. The original Genesis I think is ugly as well as the original Sega Cd but the 2nd and 3rd versions of the genesis are sleek as well as the second Sega CD and the 32X.

Anyways, here are what I think are the most beautiful pieces of gaming hardware:
