What is the best Resident Evil spin off game? And why?

Revelations, really enjoyable on 3DS.

Code veronica x, however that could be considered part of main game.

Outbreak was ok could have played better but the concept was good just not executed well.

I believe the creator specifically said it should be considered a true sequel.

Three, while great, is more of a glorified expansion.

I'm not counting CV as a spinoff so Outbreak.

- Fun online

- Variation of characters/enemies

- Tons of unlockables

For those saying Code Veronica- Capcom was stuck in a deal with Sony to make a 3rd main RE game, but wanted to make the next real game on the more powerful Dreamcast. They were planning to call Code Veronica 3, and 3 just Nemesis (or some other name). They literally just swapped the names and kept the games on their respective platforms.

I would say Revelations, wasn't into the light-gun games. I've never played Outbreak though.

Yeah, Code: Veronica is actually Resident Evil 3 while Nemesis is simply a side story taking place at the same time as Resident Evil 2.

Probably Resident Evil Revelations since it wasn't a Light Gun Game and didn't Focus solely on Multiplayer.

One of my favorites ever. But not X , i played the original CV on DREAMCAST. The game was way and beyond from all other RE titles at the time. Till RE remake came along with Zero and took the lead.

This. it was amazing to know when the development team started gathering resources for their next RE game and we ended up with this instead.

RE:CV on DC is my favorite RE ever.

Code Veronica is not a spin-off. It's basically RE 3.5, and is part of the main series. In fact, Code Veronica was supposed to be the original RE3, and the RE3 we got was supposed to be a spin-off called RE Nemesis, before Sony paid Capcom off to change Nemesis to RE3 instead.

Anyway, my favourite RE spin-off is probably Darkside Chronicles.

Revelations reminded me of Gaiden, which is a very underrated imo.
