Halo 3 has bad multiplayer? The CoD multiplayer which you think is better than that of Halo 3 MP. Halo 3 (2 actually) introduced multiplayer in console shooters as we know it today, and all other shooters ripped those ideas off and just refined them. And sorry, Halo 3's campaign is not boring. It is anything BUT boring. You say you're halfway through, which means you're either at Mission 4, 5 or 6, which are three of the best missions I have played in ANY shooter EVER.
I have rather fond memories of playing Halo 3 MP with a couple of friends', so I will always appreciate what it brings. Although that being said, I cannot fully enjoy Halo 3 MP as I experience heavy lag when playing with Americans', which is a shame, but oh well. The campaign is solid enough, but it isn't anything ground breaking--really. I personally enjoyed ODST's campaign A LOT more, and Firefight is pretty awesome. I can't wait for REACH though, the beta was awesome and it felt refreshing. I'd suggest giving MP another go, and play on the double EXP weekends as they are a lot of fun. Once you get involved in it, you will get what Halo 3 MP is all about :)
Its a good game but lemmings like to hype up halo more than its really worth. They brag about how many people play it and such everyday but that means jack. Especially when MW2 is also mostly played. quantity < quality I always say. I like the game though, splitscreen is always fun.

While I do agree with quality > quantity. Multiplayer-wise quantity is still a big thing. I don't think I'd ever play a multiplayer game with almost no players, no matter how good. :P
No your not alone, I bought Halo 2 on PC a few years ago to see what the fuss was about and to this day i find the game mediocre, meh compared to other shooters on both PC and ps3. But be prepared for the onslaught of lemmings who defend this series with their lives... About 3/4 of this forum will be praising this meh game... Maybe it's because without halo the xbox brand wouldn't be much at all ?

That's funny didn't battlefield 1942 come out before halo2? So did quake 3, and unreal tournament all had console releases before halo2 .. Intact I was playing Star wars battlefront the other day with my nephew on ps2 which gets it's multiplayer from battlefield just in 3rd person... This game came out before halo and IMO is super fun! I then got my nephew to play warhawk which is very much like battlefront in mechanics and he was amazed, we had a blast playing splitscreen!!! My point is halo is not the only multiplayer game in consoles, many came before Halo 2 and many are fun games like battlefield, unreal, quake and battlefront...these games do not copy off of halo. Why lemmings get super sensitive over one game is just strange god forbid someone have a different opinion and not like halo....lemspot am confirmed.. Lol
(This is not a troll thread these are my HONEST opinions) When debating about consoles against 360 fanboys, they always bring up Halo 3. " Halo 3 is better than Killzone 2" " The Wii is for casuals and doesn't have Halo 3" That last quote I find very funny. Right now Halo 3 is second on Major Nelsons most played list, been in the top 3 for 3 years. Now to my point, I got Halo 3 a couple weeks ago I wanted to see if I was missing out. The multiplayer is really mediocre and boring I would rather play MW2 and that's saying A LOT. I started the campaign yesterday, I'm about half way through. And let me tell you I WAS BORED OUT OF MY MIND!!! It's so boring! And don't think I'm just saying this because I favor PS3 and Wii. I thought Gears of War 2 campaign was VERY epic! I loved it. But with Halo 3 it's just very bland and boring. It's like I'm going through the motions shoot, melee knock the brute's armor off melee again kill him. This is like the whole game and also melee'ing a bunch of grubs. Seriously, Why is this game so popular? Call of Duty is better than it, Gears of War is better than it, I mean seriously. I was actually kinda excited to play this game. Am I the only one?

No, your not alone. Halo 3 is popular so there fore there is a large enough base to find truthful dislike and fanboy dislike. I am not sold on yours being truthful. I dont believe CoD or Gears are better, but I am weird. I look at wha I enjoy not what I believe is superior in gaming as opinions aren't facts. I enjoy Halo 3 more than Gears or CoD.

I only picked Halo 3 up last week end and finished it in one sunday on normal, spent this week playing it through on Heroic and I have to say Im actually really impressed. I had to go read up on the weapons a little and I hadn't played the second so I missed some plot but the controls are great (I played CE on an original xbox controller, awful). I don't know if people still play Halo 3 online and I don't care now either, I was so impressed I got myself a copy of ODST so I will be online in that soon :D.
On a side note I always hated the floaty mechanics of Halo (I hate all jumping in fps to be fair), but it does actually work well and its cool when you evade a grenede death or that mega tonne hammer with a timed jump.
