What is the greatest controller?

In my opinion the gamecube controller fits really well and has great button placement.

I still love the SNES controller, it was built for Mario. :P

360 for me. and ive used pretty much every controller from a kempston joystick on my spectrum 48k to Atari 2600 to Dreamcast.

Nothing has match the weight, size and ergonomics of the 360 pad imo

Dualshock. When that controller came out, it was like a haven for my hands. I still enjoy using it.

Keyboard and mouse.

The NES Advantage... period.

Gamecube Controller it has a nice feel to it.

Dualshock... 3 gens and still working great.

It's a close call between the Gamecube controller and the Xbox S-controller. The former has more logical button placement than the latter, so I choose the Gamecube controller, even though its D-Pad is very unprecise.

As for the DualShock... it's horrid.

The DS3 seems the best controller for multiple game types/genres.

Dualshock series of controllers are the best for me :)

I think the DualShock 3 is the best. I haven't found another controller as incredible, and believe me, I've tried almost all of them.

Since everyone has done to death saying the dualshock 2 and 360 controller I'll pick the GC controller as my choice, loved that thing so much, awesome as controller.

For most sports games (Ex.:Tiger Woods, Madden, Wii Sports Resort) and games that are heavy on pointing and/or shooting at things (Ex.: Resident Evil 4, Medal of Honor, Metroid Prime, Super Mario Galaxy), the Wii remote is the best controller.

For 3rd-person action games that require many buttons (Ex.: Assassin's Creed, Ninja Gaiden, Metal Gear Solid) and fighting games (Ex.:Street Fighter IV), the Dualshock 3 is the best controller.

The Gamcube controller, it felt so... right in my hands, like it was meant to be.
