What is the highest price you would ever pay for a console?

its a good bargain for those who want hi-def movies, for those who don't, not so much.

600 to watch movies is too much for me too...600 for games same... and both... still too much, though I can see why some people go for it... it's not bad for what your getting.

Yea since the prices of hi-def disc players are really high. Paying 300-500 just to watch HDDVD/Blu-ray (and then 30 dollars per disc) is way too much.

I don't even have a ps3. I was trying to say that the high costs of hi-def disc players contribute to the high cost of the ps3 and its not worth it to pay that much to watch movies.

IT depends on what the consol can do and how effectively it can do it ( only in terms of gaming and not crap like media capabilites and what not) basically, I'll pay for what I get....

IMO, no consol this gen is worth more than $300

you wont spend 10k on a console. there are more important things to use with that money like paying bills and stuff.

A full loaded console with a ton of multimedia capabilites and sick hardware is worth about $1200-$1300 to me.

No offense or anything, but what is 50 dollars more when you are already shelling out over 600 dollars? Why would you be willing to pay 650 and not spend an additional 50 dollars seeing as you would be spending over 700 dollars in the first place when you add a game to the price. So explain how 50 dollars breaks a deal for you after spending that much already?

$700 in Canadian money. There would have to be some incredible games to justify a price that high.

Good Point, $50 doesnt make any sense after spending that much, might as well round-up to the nearest hundred.

I don't think just saying a price means anything.... It all comes down to what your getting in that price.

I payed $400 for my X360, and for a pure gaming machine like the X360 that is as high asI will ever go. But for somthing like the PS3 a gaming console and a high def player,I will only go to about $500 and thats it.

My limit for a console is what the PS3 costed me. $759 CDN :(. I almost didn't buy it, but I had worked extra hours and made the overtime to buy it, so I did. I believe I earned it. Now I've worked a lot of overtime hours to muster up $1200 CDN dollars and plan on building a stellar gaming PC 8)
