[QUOTE="dream431ca"]The new Thief game. I really hope that is scary (and better than Thief 3)GazzaB
Deadly Shadows was brilliant, The Cradle has to be one of the scariest levels ever.
I know, but the rest of the game was kinda meh, but the Shalebridge cradle was the best level I have played in a Thief game, ok I'll tie that level up with the guy who built is house all upside down and backwards in the first Thief. That was kinda scary too.
RE5 *i hope its scary*, dead space, and left 4 deadlegend26
These, and Alone in the Dark at the end of this month as well. And TC, a game that reached the levels of horror that the Exorcist captured would be quite an achievement for a game indeed. And of course, it would not work if you were just some priest reciting scriptures, lol. It would have to be done in a survival horror fashion that drives you to the point of pure desperation in trying to figure out how to prevent yourself from going completely mad (in the game of course, lol).
With that, imagine encountering possessed individuals that sound like this real, actual recording of the exorcism of the girl that 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' was based on. (If you freak out easy, I advise you not to listen, lol):

Siren and Fatal Frame should be really scary.
I'm really looking forward to RE5,but you can hardly call it horror anymore.
Fatal Frame IV. Japanese horror scares me more than western horror.LordQuorthon
So you're more scared of meowing little boys then guys with chainsaws?

Meowing little boys are much more scarier than a guy with a chainsaw. Anything scary involving children is very scary.

Especially dirty diapers and puking up rotten milk....very scary stuff right there.

Are you for serious?
I guess some people are really scared by that stuff. Most Japanese horror I know seems more like comedy. Meowing little boys, burping girls, people that craw around all funny like, all gives me good lulz.

Now that I think about it, little boys do seem a little more scary then full-grown men. It's just the fact that they seem to know wherever you are hiding, don't provide any clues to how you're going to die, and how quiet they really increases the creepiness factore. Maybe I just think these things because big hulking giants in horror have become slightly overused.

BubbyJello
Pretty much.
This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nDqEYAyJLw scares me more than any zombie/guy with chainsaw/zombie with chainsaw.

It's also the fact that little kids are so innocent.

Yea they look so innocent, but are demons or have demons in them. If i had to choose a road with 2 choices chainsaw guy or some little kids who look like the ghost from jpn horror give me the chainsaw. I swear little ghost kids singing or going la la la la la laaa. Is 10x scarier then a chainsaw dude. It gets in your head.

I think I'm just more scared of things that can actually happen. And usaully Japanese horror is so unrealistic, that it's giggle worthy.
