Mario by far is the most milked.

Look folks for Christmas we get Mario Party 1,000,000 with the Cooking Mama expansion excluding all online and community features. FTW

i say the mario series is the most milked because of the awkward way it was milked.

madden and sims were created for milkage. They lend themselves to it.

Mario was created as nintendo's main franchise. A mario game was an event. The character became so popular however, that nintendo forced him into other things.

typing that out makes me think that maybe I shouldn't have voted for mario since there is more blatant milkage, but mario is more of a sellout from his former, more meaningful role

Tough choices Mario is definatly milked alot but he still gets some good games to his name like SMG, MKWii, SPM

Final fantasy has alot of remakes and there are quite a few of them.

Madden has yearly games on all platforms with little change between them

When your series has a game in almost every genre, you know it is the most milked.

Karaoke, Dancing, Adventure, RPG, sports, puzzle, party minigames, racing, fighting etc.

Atleast for Madden there is one game a year, but Mario has more than one game a year, it is getting risiculous now. However, there is no Mario Football......my goodness, if Nintendo is reading this they will probably be a Marioden NFL this year, Which is madden but with a "nintendo" team including the cast from SSBB. :lol:

The Super Mario series is great. It's just the character himself who gets milked.

As for actual series, I'm gonna go ahead and vote for Ratchet and Clank. They've had 8 games in the past 7 years.

Madden isn't really milked because it's football. There isn't much you can really do to make this version much better than the next. I'm sure EA holds out on ideas because if they used them all in one year they would have nothing for the next years version. Everyone also expects a new Madden every year and the hardcore Madden players seem happy with them

Finaly Fantasy isn't milked at all. They are great games that change the characters and stories. I guess the side games could be considered milkage but now I'm backtracking.

There are only about one or two marios a generation. There are various spinoffs, but those don't build up that much a generation either, the only real deal is its Party series.

Um, this list is stupid. Honestly, I voted for Madden, but come on, Sonic? Why isnt the obvious up there? Guilty Gear, Guitar Hero is up for one. Atleast Mario games span more than one genre and most are good. From RPGs to Sports mario has been in great games, and if you dont like them or cant handled see his games on shelves than close your eyes.

Look at Sonic, now they have a Sonic game with a Sword? Really, and thats not milkage? I would call certain Mario series milking but his Main series games are nowhere near milking, they are years apart.

And most of those games have Mario's name on them, but arent solely based on Mario( Smash Bros, Mario Party, Mario Kart). I agree he's milked but that doesnt take away from his appeal. People still love him, so nothing isnt wrong with that.
