F.E.A.R. I don't think it ranks too highly as far as scares are concerned against the the classics, but its the scaries I've had the guts to play. My cousin will probably buy Silent Hill: Downpour because we have horror weekends every so often (FEAR, FEAR 2, Dead Space, Dead Space 2 so far... And he bought Alan Wake thinking it was a horror game). Hopefully that will be good.
Lol. "Most scariest" game. For me it's either Silent Hill or Silent Hill 4. 4 was a great game that a lot of people didn't like and I will never understand that.
Heh, for me Demon's souls wasn't THAT scary. Except for Tower of Latria. Man those bells were scary. :PProbably Demons Souls, the sounds while walking through the dark dungeons were enough for me to stop going and turn back.

Space Hulk - corridor after corridor of random attacks by purple clawed aliens trying to rip your face off.
As far as I'm concerned, the ghosts were massively annoying, and then when the guy starts following you and shooting you, I was just like "f*** this". You can tell it wasn't originally a Silent Hill game by some of its design choices.Lol. "Most scariest" game. Amnesia and before that it was probably Silent Hill 2 (underground prison :D). Amnesia became a lot less scary due to monster glitching up for me however, I don't know if that happens to everyone or Im just unlucky but they kept getting stuck.
Also  @ most scariest :P.
The most scared I have ever been while playing a video game was Eternal Darkness. I'm not really sure if it is more scary than Amnesia though.
A close tie between System Shock 2 and Minecraft.foxhound_fox
You know..minecraftcreepers did scare the crap out me once...

Haha I've made the same arguement before. The bell chimes from the squid monsters in the dungeons of Latria made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and stop me dead in my tracks! What a fantastic game. Even after you beat it a buncha times and start getting bored you just raid other people's games as a black phantom. Best game of the gen so far, easily...
Dead Space 2 I had so many OMFG I AM GOING TO DIE or WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM moments. But I think I scare easily. I found RE4 very scary the first time I played it.
they were probably coming from the vents. just run away since there's pretty much no quarentines in DS2 anyways.Dead Space 2 I had so many OMFG I AM GOING TO DIE or WHERE ARE THEY COMING FROM moments. But I think I scare easily. I found RE4 very scary the first time I played it.

Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2, followed by Resident Evil Code Veronica. After that, nothing really.
Hmmm... Resident Evil REmake is pretty dang creepy... But I'd say one of the Theif games. While not horror, there are some horror themed levels that are scary as hell. Sadly, I have yet to play any Silent Hill games besides Homecoming and Shattered Memories. But I want to, really bad.
man you will FRIGGIN LOVE amnesia!! that game will have you pissing your pants bro! if you love scary games this one is it. the whole game.... its just eerie and ominous!Fatal Frame. . The Demo at that :P right now I am playing Silent Hill one but hyped to play Amnesia The Dark Decent. .

RE4. The whole atmosphere was really creep and the fact they weren't actual zombies scared me even more. I used to jump everytime I head "matalo" in the castle.
