Alpha Protocol easily. Did so much stuff better than Mass Effect but hardly anybody was willing to look past the clunky gameplay.

Kameo even though it is a Platinum Hits title. I would buy the nex XBOX just for a Kameo sequel.
Playstation AllStars BR- I like it better than Brawl- Better roster IMO, Love the changing backgrounds, deep gameplay. Cows just never buy the exclusives 

Also-
Syndicate- Awesome game. I think having the Sydicate name hurts it.
Modnation Racers- As usual Cows are to stupid to know how good their own games are. 
Split / Second- I love Microsoft's racing line-up of Forza and PGR. But this is my favorite racer this gen. I can't even be bothered with Criterion anymore.

Easily my two favorite shooters this entire console generation, and both were under rated. The first because of a very rocky launch, and the second because I guess some people do not like change or are too dense to follow a plot outside of end of the world/nuclear destruction.

Not sure I would call DMC underrated. More like underappreciated. I call it the best hack n slash game I have played and was much better than that corny garbage with the ton of back tracking Capcom puts out. (DMC4)

Mirror's Edge- I give it to many awards already. It was my favorite new IP this gen. I wanted to give more games some hype.

I always thought the Devil May Cry series sucked. I have Bayonetta. Love the gameplay, like the character, hate the story but the game is good. I played Ninja Gaiden Black on the XBOX years ago. I hardly remember anything about it. timbers_WSU

Well, if you're also looking at a story, i can understand why NGB isn't memorable. Hell, i'm playing NGB right now for the first time, took a two days break, and even i can't remember anything of the story, lol. Tho i enjoyed the story of DMC3 and the relationship between Virgil and Dante.

Pretty solid choice OP, I'd make Sleeping Dogs my first pick. But in 2011 there was this one game that came out...

Which was unquestionably the greatest WRPG of its time, outclassing Bioware's previous stranglehold over the dark fantasy genre with Dragon Age (and subsequent blunder with Dragon Age II). Unfortunately for The Witcher 2, Skyrim came out later in the year to enormous hype and Bethesda's massive marketing campaign. It's a shame that many nominated Skyrim as the greatest RPG of 2011 when 1) it has a combat system from the early 1990s, 2) its story is absolute trash, and 3) not a single character in the game is memorable for good reasons; those that are memorable are memorable because they're annoying or say stupid things (guards). 

TW2: best game of 2011, best WRPG of the gen, and a game that would have received worthy recognition had it not released the same year Skyrim did.

I disagree, and I strongly doubt you even played the game just like the majority of the people who talk it down. Played on the hardest difficulty level SO:tL is a bad ass game. I have literaly played 1,000's of games and it easily has one of the best campaigns in any shooter I have ever played. It plays well, and is fun... even WITH the cover system, and I hate cover systems in most games.

It is every bit as good as any other shooter campaign, only the storyline is 100 times better. Yes, storyline does help, but the gameplay is not bad... it may get a little difficult at times, but that makes it even better. It had a decent length campaign, that controlled jut fine, and had the best plot of any shooter I have ever played.

By the way, I am a veteran of war myself, and I would strongly recommend the game for anybody who is looking for a better view of how the things you see and do can mess with your head.... However, it is a game, so it can stretch things a bit. I love how it takes the Rambo generic feel out the shooting genre and makes you feel what is actually happening. It adds consequence and doesn't over glorify war. That is abou as real as it gets and it is still a great game.

All common things in military shooters and why I generally avoid them. However one series I can think of that wipes the floor with it is STALKER.

I also like how half your post was about the story which I didn't even mention. The story was good.
