Hmm... either Mario 64, Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, or others.nintendoboy16
taking the analogy a step further, you could argue that mario 64 is more like Off the Wall, chronologically speaking.
[QUOTE="cainetao11"]Comparison works then. I don't know many hardcore musicians with "Thriller" in their collection. It's called POP music for a reason.MJ4040
Dude, seriously, are you trying to diss Thriller???
I gues Van Halen isnt hardcore, because he was on Thriller.
I never dissed anything, I just stated a fact of my life. I know a few musicians that play and tour the east coast. Most of them like the album or some of the songs, but none of them own a copy anymore.Comparison works then. I don't know many hardcore musicians with "Thriller" in their collection. It's called POP music for a reason.[QUOTE="cainetao11"][QUOTE="Burning-Sludge"]
The only thing Halo did was issue in the era of casual core first person shooters.

there is no connection between the popularity of a piece of art and its quality (normal or, in your belief, inverse).
not liking something on the basis of its popularity is just as ignorant in both directions (pro-pop and anti-pop alike).
its fine if you don't like modern pop, but please don't imply that one type of music is greater then another.
Well said. Please don't tell me what I'm doing. I never questioned Thriller's quality as quality of art is subjective to the beholder. I like thriller. Now I didn't imply anything, your own mind went there. Take responsibility for that. It's called POP music for a reason meant it reaches out to a mass audience like Halo has. That was all I meant by it. Like what you like, no need to be so defensive. Please Log In to post.
