I'd have to go with Microsoft Flight simulator. What let down, buggie and runs at like 20 fps most of time.

I could go on and on but these games are some of the worst games I have played bar none.
Been ages since I played a truly terrible game. Like Nanobreaker on PS2 was pretty bad, but even then, not worst of the worst.
Cliche picks, but I'd probably go with E.T or Bubsy 3D.
Most of the worst games I played came out of gens 2, 3 and 5.
Yup, this gonna be one of those threads where people pick average/good games that didn't appeal to them.
Giving it serious thought, it's hard to parse through decades of gaming to me to pinpoint one worst game. I can't remember every game I played as a kid and through the years. There were definitely games on retro consoles that I didn't like and were a pain in the ass. If I had to pick one game that I gave real play time to within the last several years that I didn't enjoy but finished through it anyways, I'd say GT Sport. GT Sport IMO is an embarrassment for Sony and probably the weakest name brand racer of last gen. Sure, I beat Gravel, which sucked, but I knew it sucked going in. It was significantly shorter, wasn't a long drawn out borefest like GT Sport. But GRID was better, NFS games (except the remake) were better, The Crew 1&2 were better, Forza was better, even FlopClub was better. GT Sport was a marathon of lame.
Runner up for worst game that just popped into my head - Recore. I really tried to beat it. I just got so bored with it. I think I was like 70% through maybe and just couldn't do it anymore. Deleted it and moved on.
PPS: I hated the NFS remake too. That was on par with GT Sport for worst racing game of last gen.

I agree with this list.
Gears of War is crap.
The latest POS, the one that was a true remarkable POS, is easily Outriders. What a terrible terrible experience. I said it would die instantly after launch, and its exactly what happened. You just don't release such shitty shlooters and expect your playerbase to stick around.
I don't know what's the worst game i've ever played, tho.
@ConanTheStoner: Yup... already saw what I expected from Ghost.
My answer goes to Naughty Bear. Just not well polished and pretty glitchy. Not much to do. It was bare bones playing as a bear when you go around killing other bears. I was hoping it would be along the lines of Happy Tree Friends. I was wrong.
Shoutout to this POS 😂
The days of buying games based on box art. Thought I was getting another Double Dragon.
Usually rented a game before committing to a potentially awful purchase, but went all in on this one... along with the Power Glove at the same time. A match made in hell.

I liked this game as a kid, now I wonder what was wrong with me.
The Grand Tour video game.
(back when I reviewed games. no one in their right mind would play this willingly)
@TheEroica:
Did eventually beat that one. Probably died a million times on the first stage, but once I cleared that, the flow of the games bullshit made sense lol... well until the driving sections, had to learn again.
Played much worse games for sure, but yeah it was pretty rough.
Remember being impressed by the voice clip at the title screen haha.

You're a meme kinda guy, that game would be memed to death if released today.
Checks out.

Why am I a meme guy?
I Don't know, I tend to research my games and only pick ones that are halfway decent. Sure, might have picked some disappointing ones from time to time but I can't say they're terrible.
Maybe Godus? Unfinished disappointment, bought in early access it was supposed to be a revival of the "god game" genre and it just turned out to be a piece of crap. They clearly designed it for mobile customers, with the tutorial even saying "tap here" at times instead of click. Was plagued f rom the start and at the end it was just one or two people stringing it along just enough say they could technically say they were working on it without actually working on it.
I could go on and on but these games are some of the worst games I have played bar none.
Dude, can you at least TRY to be objective?
Yup, this gonna be one of those threads where people pick average/good games that didn't appeal to them.
Meh, I'd be lying if I didn't want to say God of War...
I've played very few truly bad games, because I don't just buy random stuff. Like, objectively bad games.
The worst game to stick in my mind was Betrayal at Antara. Game had a really cool magic system. But otherwise it was ugly as sin even for its time. Like, really bad - bad assets AND art direction. The combat was frustration incarnate. And it was ludicrously buggy. Hard crashes left and right, causing your miserable progress to be lost.
Such a missed opportunity, and a frustrating genuinely bad letdown.
My flamebait response is Diablo 3 at launch
Meh, I'd be lying if I didn't want to say God of War...
Haven't played Dad of War yet. Someone basically forced a borrow on me and it's been sitting on my TV stand for over two years lol.
But yeah, not a fan of the original trilogy. Wouldn't even think to describe them as bad games though. Just a bit weak on the gameplay side compared to other games in its genre.
Devil May Cry 2 was pretty trash as well.
Oh yeah. Trash game and an all timer for bad sequels.

Yeah that's why I didn't list it. Objectively not a bad game.
I didn't like it. Felt like a father and son walking sim. Lots of talking, lots of drama. I can see why fans of the old games took issue with the new direction.
Well, according to my Backloggery, my lowest rated game is Space Siege. I am a bit hesitant to call that my least favourite game, because I have a rule that I only rate games I've completed. I might have played games that I liked even less, but never rated them because I never completed them.
Anyway, Space Siege. This was back when I still would buy anything with Chris Taylor's name on it, having grown up with Total Annihilation, rather liking Dungeon Siege 1 and 2, and loving Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. Space Siege was short, shallow, completely unmemorable, and the "good" ending made me want to vomit in my mouth.
Another game rated pretty close to Space Siege is Indigo Prophecy. My first and thankfully so far only run-in with David Cage. I was coming off the high of really liking Dreamfall, so I thought Indigo Prophecy might be the next game to try. How wrong I was. It had a decent setup, but the characters were bland, the world-building is a mess, the plot threads led to nowhere, and the ending felt rushed with zero build-up, and also made me want to vomit in my mouth. I forgave Dreamfall's almost total lack of gameplay because it had decent writing and excellent world-building - without that, Indigo Prophecy is just a boring Simon-Says QTE-athon.
@ConanTheStoner: It was a real struggle to play through what little I did. Usually I can find some hook to help me through a bad game but this had nothing to keep me playing through it.
@Archangel3371:Yeah man, I never finished it either. Tried at least twice. Every aspect was clunky. Enemies boring, with many more likely to harm each other than harm you lol.
Top Gun on NES
That game forced me into inverting Y on cameras, took forever to break the habit. Actually liked the game alright at the time, aside from the brutally accurate requirements for landing.
I could go on and on but these games are some of the worst games I have played bar none.
No one cares about the games you haven't played, sniper4321
The Adventures of Bayou Billy - NES
Insanely difficult and frustrating.
Also the last two Doom games and the game STALKER. Not sure if anyone has heard of it.
I don't think I have. You know, we need a village idiot to start making threads about that title. On topic, NES era, too many to count. There were some great games, and LOT of turds. And really hard to pass turds, because they would pad the length and notch up the difficulty.
Modern-ish era, Too Human. So disappointing, too.
@clone01: I put 40 hours into too human. I absolutely LOVE the gameplay perspective and the promise of what that game could've been, but it's really hard to overlook it's glaring flaws.
Microsoft should do a re - do with too human. Do it proper. It was supposed to he a trilogy!
I can't say my worst game, because that's a needle in a haystack. If I don't like a game, I forget it and move on.
But my worst genre are movie games. It's like, piss off with your cutscenes, set pieces and QTEs and let me play a game. :-(
There's this one game I despised playing when I was a kid. It was called Takeshi's Castle or Challenge...? I forgot the name. It was so horrible and confusing, I hated it.
As for recent games I played, like 1 or 2 years, Uncharted 1 from the ND Collection.
Steel Rivals, Devil May Cry 2. Outbreak Epidemic is one of the biggest POS I've played and I'm glad I could refund it.
For me it was Death Stranding.
I had to force my self to play it cause it was just boring, but it came included in my PS4 Pro special edition.
Bonus: Best game I ever played goes to The Last of Us. What a perfect game that is, followed real close by Zelda Link to the Past
Honestly, Assassin's Creed. The first one. If it wasn't for my borderline pathological insistence on finishing all that I start, I would never have gotten through the campaign.
I freaking hate that game.
I don't play many "bad" games as I love gaming and I can usually find some good fun in most games. One game I can remember being so had it was fun was Bubsy on the Sega Genesis. I bought the console used and that, Lion King, and some NFL game I can't remember right now.
Not sure if it's the "worst" but Wolfenstein: The New Order is the one I actively disliked the most.
Also detest all Tomb Raider after the originals barring the Lara Croft games.
Tomb Raider: Legend is arguably the worst. Particularly it's ill thought out vehicuuular sections.
An actual bad game? It has been forever.
I guess either:
There are games that I don't like but I wouldn't necessarily call them bad (moreso mediocre).
Bloodborne wasn't the worst, but it was hyped pretty hard but when I finally played it, the graphics were awful and the game barely made sense. I died to a werewolf or something and ended up in this church place. I had no clue how to get out then I quit.
Bloodborne, Breath of The wild , Witcher 3...
Serious answer :
Recently I'd probably go with Robinson the Journey - it was a VR game with dinosaurs so I bought it. It sucks. Tech demo that feels like it doesn't work half the time.
Going back further .... Idk ... I thought Ico was pretty damn lousy.
Last Guardian was kinda lame too. On top of which it ran poorly and kinda looked like garbage.

What does the bold mean? I definitely thought Legend was the weakest out of its trilogy.

Good games as far as I'm concerned. Feel closer to the original Tomb Raider titles.
The rest can go in the trash.
