Meanwhile every Sheep is buying indistinguishable Mario Kart rehashes, mario party 46 and Wii Fit. How can you keep vacuuming up the same rehashed crap, while ignoring quality games? and how do you have the nerve to complain about crappy third party support when these games don't sell?

Most Wii owners are casual and will go for casual games...

Which is why I saw Zak and Wiki at Wal-Mart for $20.

Blaming every on who owns a Wii is kinda wrong. Mario Kart is very fun (Best Online for Wii, so why wont you buy it?). Wii Fit is not a re hash and mostly casuals buy it.

You failed when you said Mario Party 46.. Last I checked, 8 is NO WHERE near 46, though if you must Final Fantasy is closer to 46 and lets not start on MGS4.. oh wait lets do... How many MG games are there? In its main series, theres 7. Which, in case you failed 1st grade math is one less than 8.

Mario Kart Wii is not just another rehash by any means. It is the first console game in the series to have online, good online too. Great tracks and tons of unlockables. Heck it's more fun than GTA IV imo.

marketing. People buy establ;ished franchises because they associate it with quality. things like mario, kart and wii fit got TV adverts unlike things like bloom box, zak and wiki, and batallion wars II. but its not just sheep. look at the hyped games on other systems, GTA 4, MGS 4, Halo 3, final fantasy 13. But that doesnt mean these games are bad. the reason is thats what fans want. Nintendo keep 'rehashing' their old franchises bcos the traditional fans demand it. but if marketed right 3rd party titles on wii can sell very well.

Whoa! Somebody is getting a little to defensive over a party game. Settle down and breath a minute there. I think the guy you are posting to knows that 8 isn't close to 46. Perhaps he said that as an hyperbole, if you will, quite possibly to symbolize the overabundance of mario party games. Now, before you go off an accuse other series of games, you should probably be reminded that both of those series have been going on for quite a bit longer than Mario Party. Both Metal Gear and Final Fantasy have been going on since the 1980's. You probably already know that Metal Gear Solid was not the first Metal Gear game. Mario Party came out in 1999. Both of the series that you mentioned have atleast 3 year gaps between each installment, where as Mario Party has had a game come out every year. Not to mention that Metal Gear has a story that has run through every game, where Mario Party clearly doesn't. Let's also note that every game in both of those series has been commercially AND CRITICALLY successful, where Mario Party hasn't been at least critically. So sorry, your argument doesn't hold any water(figuratively). Perhaps you should pick better targets, might I suggest Tony Hawk, or Madden?

I agree with the first paragraph, totally. I bought it for the same reasons, and the wiimote.

The second one you said it wrong but yeah people care too much about Mario games and not enough thoses great original titles.

Well, if you want to know what's really wrong with wii owners, you'd have to ask the keepers of their retirement homes. LOl I'm sorry. It was just too easy. Couldn't resist. But yeah you're right, I guess I'm not the only one who noticed.

I can't find Z&W anywhere :(

Kings Story is a first day purchase for me

Blast Works is a rent for me

MMR looks meh to me

No More Heroes was awesome and I'm actually going to replay it when I'm done with The 4 Console 3D Zeldas

Mario Kart I'm buying next Friday because it's awesome and different than the other ones. Plus online is good

Mario Party 8 (thank God another one hasn't been announced, maybe that will teach Hudson to use a Nintendo icon in their crappy games) the series hasn't been good since two if ever

I may get WiiFit if I have extra money and no games to buy but it looks pretty uninteresting

I haven't bought a game since Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I've been checkin' out the PS3 titles.

I do need to go back to the Wii though; I've missed out on a lot of great titles.

Most wii games dont have as much quality as most 360 or ps3 games. Brawl is the only one that can maybe be compared with the quality of other system games.

the wii is light-hearted fun and while the graphics arent't graphic-workstation-stellar but they're enough to do the job. Oh, that's right, it's outselling both the MS 'trash'-box and the blur-station which is why the wii-mote rip-offs are coming.

i actually thought you had a good insight on things untill u said rehash, how many mario karts are there? o wait 1 per gen, so 4, snes n64 gcn and wii,

how many ff games are there o wait 15(ff 1 - 13 + x-2 + vs13) and that is what like 2-3 per gen,

how about gta.... 4 in 2 gens wow rehash.

how about mgs 4 wow rehash

how about rachet and clank... like 6 rehash

how about gears... 2 in one gen rehash

how about dmc, 4 rehash

how about gt.. 5(+prologues) rehash

how about gotham racing ...4(or is it 5) rehash

rehash

.....

I think that Mario Kart Wii has a lot of subtle innovations that many people may not recognize at first from just looking at videos or pictures.

Wii Fit is also crazy new. I don't understand why you'd call it a rehash.

A rehash of what?

Tony Hawk probably would have been a better target, Madden is just too easy, imo. And nothing against MGS(gotta buy that game eventually), it was just theonly game on my mind at that moment. As for the defense of Mario Party, It just gets old every always saying Mario Party 46(59, 100, 5k), it gets tiresome. I personally couldn't stand Mario Party 8. But then again, not many games I do like now a days, most all of them have sold out to the graphics over gameplay gods.

Boom Blox's screen was gimped and didn't fill the while screen. Do the devs think we're stupid or something?

I found Zack & Wiki to be very kiddy in difficulty and was very annoyed by the monkey and his voice.

Little King's Story is yet another kiddy looking piece of crap, visually ripping off Mii's, FF: Crystal Chronicles, MySims and Animal Crossing. Why do they feel the need to make their game look like most other games on the Wii? Who was the fool who decided that the game must look generic?

No, no, no, no. That's MoH 2.

Hell to the no. Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 isn't even a good game.

It can't compete against the likes of Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Strikers: Charged.

You should blame lack of advertisment, because I have seen TV adverts for Mario Kart, Mario Party and Wii Fit, but I have never seen a TV advert for Boom Blox, Z&W or Kings Story let alone games like NMH.

zack and kiddy was a lame attept my capcom to prove to the world that the wii userbase is more kiddy and they failed miserably. Spyborgs is yet another attempt while PS3/360 get dead rising, DMC and lost planet.

yes, the wii is perfect for quirkiy, original, low budget, high quality games!

I don't think Mario Kart is a total rehash. It's a great formula and online is welcome! If they made it too different people would complain it strayed too far from a successful formual, so its a catch 22.

Mario Party is only on 8, so i disagree there. And i think you almost always get your money's worth with these.

Wii fit is not a rehash, its quirky and original and much fun. And I think the games and exercises are high quality because I am seeing good results.
