What is your Favorite Fighting Game Series?

Street Fighter

Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.

Smash Bros. No other fighting game series have been consistently good.

Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Dead or Alive, pretty much ALL of the biggest fighting game series have had terrible games.

BlazBlue, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear and King of Fighters if we only include traditional fighterss

Smash joins the ranks if we can include batshit insane fighters too

Can't answer that, I don't like all the games in any one series.

Tekken.

Mortal Kombat because it usually has plenty of single player content and awesome characters and a stupid story

Killer Instinct, such a great SNES game.

Only fighting game I ever really enjoyed was the fight night games.

A shame Soulcalibur isn't in the poll, but Mortal Kombat would still get my vote either way. Fatalities FTW!! :D

Tekken games and I go way back.

But I'd like to say the recent Naruto Ninja Storms just because they look absolutely amazing. I enjoy playing it even if it's just to look at the crazy sequences or bright colors.

I haven't tried most of the list mentioned,but I liked Tekken from the old PS1 days.Quite a few hours playing that with my older brothers.

The Street Fighter II series is extremely close to my heart, so i'll go with that.

Super Smash Bros.

All games in this series are perfection in my eyes.

Shaq Fu... One of the best fighting games of all time! Of all time!

I don't like this poll for a few reasons.

1 - You wasted space to add Shaq Fu instead to put Guilty Gear.

2 - You wasted space to add Blazblue instead to put Guilty Gear.

3 - You wasted space to add Clay fighters instead to put Guilty Gear.

As for my fav...King Of Fighters, Street Fighter, Tekken and GUILTY GEAR!!!!

1. Smash Bros.--it changed all the rules for how a fighter could be played. Plus, you can play with more than just two players at once.

2. Killer Instinct--loved the quick, smooth combo attacks and especially loved the voice that yelled stuff like "Ultimate!" or "Brutality" or "Ultra, Ultra, Ultra, Ultra!"

3. Mortal Kombat--MK made fighters for mature audiences. You can have fun playing Smash, but you can totally vent playing MK. And nothing beats a satisfying Fatality!

Tekken. Nice memories.

Street Fighter

Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves, is the greatest fighting game of all time. I can't tell you why, it just is.

Whenever my friends and I have an argument about fighting games i.e. best system, graphics, music, style, it is always one of the top 3 in everyone's opinion in all categories.

It is simply such a solid fighter, I literally cannot think of anything wrong with it.

As for a full series? King of Fighters, and yes I am a psuedo-SNK fanboy.

Although best fighter OAT constantly shifts between FF: MOTW and Super Turbo, I have played more SFII than any other game ever created.

Shout-out to Tekken series as well (except 4)

When I think of Street Fighter there's

SSF2 Turbo

Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike

SF2 Hyper Fighting

Ultra Street Fighter 4

Alpha 3

And while V is lacking in options it's gameplay is smooth and crisp and great cast of characters.
