Halo CE / Kotor, pick one because sometimes I can't. :P

Bloodborne, seriously. No game, and I mean no game, hits its themes as spot on as this game. It's music, art style and design. Nothing even comes close to it. And I still think it has the best OST of any game ever.
These 5 best games are in order. now rest are in no order because my list change time to time
1. Super Mario Galaxy series (I can't pick one)
2. Zelda series (see above)
3. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
4. Metal Gear Solid series (see above again)
5. Kingdom Hearts series (see above one last time)
Probably Resident Evil 4. I've replayed it countless times, and owned several versions of it, and it's still so fantastic.

try resident evil 7 my friend. its much better game.
Mine changed relatively recently. I adore platformers. There is no other genre that gives the player a more direct 1:1 conversation with the developer's design intentions. Having said that, I've never had a more enjoyable conversation than the one I had with Retro Studios' while playing their first attempt at a platformer.
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Retro Studios did to platformers what they did to action adventures with Metroid Prime; they hit it out of the park.
Halflife.
This was always my answer, maybe Donkey Kong Country 2, but half life is basically the game that sold me on what games can be.
But I dunno, I kinda played better games than Half Life.
Most people will disagree, but I think Halflife 2 is better, overall.
But as a first time experience, Halflife was so ahead of the pack if you were sitting on your ass at a computer screen in 1998 it was biblical.

I cant choose between Half life 1 and 2. 1 has better shooting, better design, but 2 has better story, better graphics, no xen and better pacing too.
both are 2 of greatest FPS ever made.

try not getting pissed at people that like RE4....mmm. ghost?
@jg4xchamp: @ConanTheStoner: Thanks guys, seems that I'd have a ton of fun with that game.
Granted I haven't played the game, but lack of new game plus would kinda suck, I mean it feels great in Bayonetta that you have all your gadgets and enemies have become tougher, it just feels so right, a compelling reason to go through it again.

Nope
HL2 gunplay was very weak compare to HL1. althought its still excellent
HL1 has best gunplay ever until it was surpassed by FEAR.
