On average I usually game at least 10 hours, but lately I've been playing around 15-20 hours a week. I've been a Nintendo fan my whole life and have recently gotten into playing a bunch of PS2 games.
I'm out of school for the summer now so it's definitely far over twenty a week. During school it's probably around twenty-thirty.
I can't really say on average -- because I'll play anywhere from "15" to "20" hours one week, then stop playing games all together for two months. Play again anywhere from "5" to "7" hours another week, then stop all together again for a few weeks. I need to be more consistent.

That's how I was when I first got Skyrim. Now I hardly touch the game at all. :/

That doesn't make sense.
It's does if you're familiar with typos.[QUOTE="TecmoGirl"]

lol! At least you played it -- I hate being reminded of that game because I really want to play Skyrim but i'm a little scared to invest in it. I try to stay away from all games that look like they might suck your life away(Skyrim, W.O.W, Sims, etc) and send me through a burn out phase.
I feel overwhelmed just thinking about it -- and all the articles on the various mods out for it and w/e expansions and stuff doesn't help at all either. :P

I see where you're coming from. It is a bit overwhelming. I hardly ever finish supposedly "short" games as it is lol. Took me like 5 months to beat Uncharted 2. :P
I just play until I get bored, then buy something else a few months later. I'll probably be hooked on Tekken Tag 2 though. :3
I play and buy mostly old school games along with around 4 current gen games per year. Hours wise, I barely play unless I'm on vacation, because after work, I'll just eat dinner and go to sleep soon after unless a ball game is on TV.
it really varies for me. Sometimes its around an hour a day if I can even get that in. Other times it might reach 4 hours a day
I don't play as much as I used to. But I'm probably somewhere in the middle.
10-15 hours a week sounds about right.
Ever since I got into anime, I've devoted some of my free time that I used to use to play video games to watch anime instead. lol
That, and while I'm at school I hardly have any free time to play video games. But 10-15 hours a week is probably how much I play video games when I'm on summer break.
You teens and college kids are so lucky. I remember playing for 20+ hour a week back in college. Don't get a full time job, kiddos. Enjoy your gaming time. ;)
Nowadays I only play 5-10 hours a week. I don't have the time to play as much as I use to.
Oh, ya...check my blog to see how many hours I play each week.

That doesn't make sense.
60 % of the time, it makes sense, everytimeI'm about 5 to 10 hours a week but that can change depending on mood or how busy/unbusy I am.OhJayDubya
My exact same respone.
20+ hours a week really isn't that much, I wouldn't call myself hardcore for playing 3 hours a day per week.

That's around 3 hours a day which qualifies as a lot in my book. Unless I was a kid or didn't have any major hobbies other than video games, I could never see myself playing that much.
To each his own, I'm in grad school right now and still have a bit of time in my schedule for gaming. That's around 3 hours a day which qualifies as a lot in my book. Unless I was a kid or didn't have any major hobbies other than video games, I could never see myself playing that much.

That's cool, but that just makes me think you either have a light load, or video games are just that important to you. I'm either in the lab or doing paper work from 5 to 8 at night, and after that all I want to do is sleep or watch a game, which can take up to around 3 hours by itself. Even back in school there was no way video games were going to fit into my schedule unless I was on break. So yeah, I just don't see how 20 hours isn't a crap load of time.
