What made you hate Sony?

Why would you hate a company?

Sony being so strong for the last 2 gens has made MS try so much harder this gen. The competition provided initially by Sony is great for consumers.

Arrogance and Ignorance....

The breath of fresh air they brought to the gaming market (PS1) when Nintendo had its head up its @ss (arrogance, ignornace once again) was now soured by the creation of the PS3. Sony completely lost the concept of creating a gaming machine and tried to create your entire living room. The feautres that are touted on rival machines as optional (movies, music, anything other than games!!!) are the primary focus of Sony this gen with gaming taking a backseat. I support gaming consoles, not devices dressed up as gaming consoles.

I must say that was a very good statement....But in all honesty Sony should have focused more on gaming than anything else. Competition is good only when the rival systems are in a close race (Genesis/SNES era). The paperweight of the PS3 is a embarrassment to the previous juggernaut of the industry because Sony was once a innovating force that changed alot of trends in the Ninty dominated industry. It was Sony's machines that were the driving force for "mature" console games. While Ninty was still playing it safe, not wanting to stir up any controvercy, Sony told devs "if you make them, we will play them!!!!" Now Sony is doing the (copycat, follow the leader, everything including the kitchen sink) type approach to its console and that approach is simply not working this gen...

Gamers wants games first, bells and whistles later..Sony once knew that, somehow, somewhere, they forgot it.

I don't hate sony, I got PS1, PS2 & PSP but I got x360 instead of the PS3 due to the priceJammy69

Its not really about price is it? Its really about what you get for that price. If Sony offered a machine that kept all of its outrageous promises as touted at E3 05', gamers would buy a PS3 in a heartbeat for that type of performance. But since we as gamers were offered a higher priced system with comparible (sometimes lacking) performance to a rival machine that is less expensive(360), the price of the PS3 seems ridiculous.

It's not that I hate Sony but I do think they're rip-off merchants. everything they make is well over priced, their TV's are £300 more than others of the same or better quality and the PS3 is a games console at the end of the day and they're charging £425 for them (way to much).

Another thing is they annoyed me a bit by changing the spec for Europe and they are clearly a year behind 360 in terms of accessories, us 360 owners are already having video chats, wireless earpieces and vibrating controllers, we're even getting a miniature keyboard for MSN messenger next month, yet PS3 haven't even confirmed that they're even in the proses of making these things yet.

I could tell you why I bought a 360 over the PS3, as for hating a company...
