here are my personal 15 reasons
- a greater quantity of high quality exclusivesIf you combine the 3? which is unfair, seperatly they dont hold a candle to the list.
- more diverse selection of genres. there really isnt a single genre the PC has that the consoles dont, except for RTS games. the PC is lacking in fighting games, platformers, JRPGS, light gun games, action adventure games, and many other genres. What on earth? MMOANYTHING. Strategy RPG Hybrids (DoTA,HoN,LoL), adventure games are still dimonent on PC, simulation games are too. and ofcourse the much broader selection of quality indie games... are you blind? if it isnt your genre preference then fine, but achknowledge them at least.
- console games tend to have more a focus on gameplay, story, action, and cinematic presentation and less on strategy or simulation. Lol gameplay... yea right ok. you mean console games aim to be hand held interactive films.
- trophies/achievements .......... ... .... ... ok I guess, but a very weak reason, most games have them built in now anyway. Im personally above stroking my P**** with pointless numbers for doing pointless boring tasks that I wouldnt otherwise do.
- in many cases, better online communities Yea sure... I bet that isnt totally biased , you get a hell of a lot more kids screaming every negative under the sun on consoles in comparison, PC has private chats, mod communities, admin controlled communities for a great experiance.... ridiculous logic on your behalf.
- playing multiplayer with people in the room is a thousand times more easy and fun. plus, splitscreen. When your a kid where your freinds have no responsibilities maybe, to the rest of us, playing together over skype when we can, and actually doing other things in reality. Splitscreen is an eye sore, an outdated way of doing things, which is why you see less and less of it on consoles now.
- lower price range (though this isnt the caes for me considering I have a gaming PC)
- setting it up with a decent sized TV or projector is easy. actually its standard. with the PC its barely plausible. You plug it in with HDMI. so much for not plausible.
- surround sound, and better sound in general are you trolling? ... seriously....
- 3d Already on PC. has been for much longer.
- motion controls im looking at my mouse... the best tried and true motion control so far.
- in my opinion, the best games. I have yet to play a PC exclusive this gen that would get into my top ten. there really arent any PC exclusives this gen that can compare to uncharted 1 and 2, MGS4, heavy rain, killzone 2 and 3, god of war 3, vanquish, or many other console exclusives. Because you clearly dont play on PC.
- many people like owning physical copies of games. with PC gaming that tends to be less common and practical. How so? we get to install the game then never use the disc again if we want, how is it any different? every game you can buy physcially still. only you got the option to buy digitally... which has many benefits itself.
- convenience yes ok.
- most people prefer controllers. game pads are still behind in quality (plus connecting a 360 or PS3 controller to the PC is a major hassle) If most people prefer controlls why are there more PC gamers than console gamers? why is it that for decades the mouse and keyboard remain the distinguised Human to Computer input device? BECAUSE ITS ALLROUND SUPERIOR.
Connectect controllers to PC is a hassle? you plug it in and it auto- installs ... whoa ...
im probably forgetting a few things.
