yeah im watching netflix on half the 52" tv and reading thru this thread on the other half and if i wanted to i could launch a game instantly without having to close anything down. do that on a console!ioannisdentonyes pcs do everything. that is true. along with costant crashes and freezes blue screens etc. they can do anything, they are supposed to do everything but here we care about gaming, and consoles do more gaming . do not bring me graphics and perfomance excuses now.i do not care . i do nt give a damn about true hd experience. i want to play good quality games. Just look at how many games get released for consoles and how much for pc. Sad or not ,consoles nowadays have more games published. as far as i can see devs prefer consoles. Same as gaming sites. they prefer reviewing a console version (sad or not again). i don know about you but eversince i got my ps3 (about 2 years now) i quit pc gaming entirely. i just have more games to play now. i feel that way.
So if all you cared about is gaming, the PC has more high quality exclusive than any of the other consoles. So you'd be gaming on a PC.
how exactly are you paying more for less when the typical pc game is $50 as opposed $60 and sometimes you get mod support that can greatly extent the life of a game If anything you are paying more for getting less on consoles. No mod support worst graphics and frame ratehow come pc games are cheaper??? how cheap is that?? you pay more for less as i can see it...

I am thinking and I can't think of too many advanteges. I know you can replace parts to make games look better, but since when does graphics=the overall game? If people can explain why PC is much more surperior please tell me. And no, I don't hate PC gaming, in fact I prefer it.
VodkaFTW
Have you ever encountered books and newspapers in-game with unreadable text? Had to stay still to observe the environment and started noticing jaggies? Had your framerate dip?
Better graphics and performance helps maintain 100% immersion, thereby improving the overall gameplay experience.
Funny, I don't see the guy who had the signature claiming PC gamers should be beheaded any more... someone give hima call, quick, he's missing out

more high scoring exclusives than all three consoles combined?

most of those are niche/indie titles though.
Are you suggesting that those games are somehow bad because of their niche/indie nature? I've had more fun through the niche and indie market then the AAA market for the last 3 years.
Then why do you have a gaming PC when indie games are more fun? May as well play them on Android or a cheaper alternative...[QUOTE="Whiteblade999"][QUOTE="SkyWard20"]

The only thing the PC can't do is get Sony and Nintendo Exclusives.

Pretty much everything in your post is wrong. Consoles get hardware issues just as often if not more often than PCs (just look at RROD). Most PC problems are cause by the user not knowing what they're doing, not by the PC.
If you cared about gaming, you'd game on PC because it has:
In the Uk at least, PC games are normally around £10 less at launch - sometimes more. Couple that with Steam sales and you easily make back the money you put into the rig in a couple of years. The fact that a PC can also do so many other tasks such as word processing, web browsing etc, means that you can save a lot of space if you use your PC as a games machine. It's an all-in-one package.

If consoles are so great, then why are they having RRODs or other problems? Why buy an HDTV to game on with your console if the console cannot do HD? IF consoles are solely about gaming, then why are they doing more than gaming? Why would anyone watch movies via Netflix or chat via Facebook or Twitter on their console? Why would anyone want their console connected to the internet if all they are interested in is gaming?
Console gaming is no better than PC gaming nowadays. Consoles now have HDs where games are installed to (just like the PC), there are driver updates, again, just like PCs, and then to top it off, there are patches for console games, again, just like PC games.
Console games are more expensive. You end up paying for DLC to extend the life of a game while PC games get mods that are free (unless you play the odd game that has a payware market like FS or Railworks). The better (my opinion) PC games are open ended and take many hours to play and finish. Games like Flight Simulator have thousands of hours of playing, especially if one wishes to fly to or from all the airports in the world (24,000+). What console game gives you such play time for the money you pay for said game?
It's a fact that PC gaming out preforms console gaming at every level. Consoles are better at some games compared to the PC and vice versa, but as far as games go, PC is second to none.

Well it's "superior" in terms of power and that stuff. If you have a good stable PC than you can easy max out the settings and tweak stuff to get the most out of the game. Also you can get mods, which depending on the game and community, can range from being very awesome to being very bad. I personally feel that alot of the talk about mods is overrated, yes there are some awesome ones out there no doubt, but alot of them are like nude mods and that kind of garbage... I mean why? You would have to be a lonely pervert to make or even install that in the first place.
But PC isn't nesseccarily "superior" in terms of fun, that's subjective. And I have way more fun overallwith my PS3 than I ever did when I played on PC.

I think the point is that you have the choice/option to install those "stupid" mods
of course, if you have more fun on PS3, then who are we to judge. I personally have more fun on PC.
Aside from exclusives available on other systems and initial price of hardware (which it is much cheaper to build a capable gaming PC than usually thought), PC gaming is superior in just about every way imaginable.
Mods
Much wider variety of games
Cheaper games
Having the choice between a keyboard & mouse or a controller

Less accessible for 13 year olds? I'd take 13 year olds playing over some of the idiots i've played with on certain PC games :P-Free online.

True... Mods are a big part of PC gaming, it's what help keep them alive - for the casual players. Graphics are a lot better, yes. Games running smoother... have to disagree. Games seem to run smoother on consoles, IMO - because they were built specifically for the console and there only thing that will make it not run smooth is a bad case of bugs, PC games however, will not run smooth if you meet minimum requirements, if you don't meet minimum requirements -- the game is only going to run smooth if you have an ideal PC gaming computer. Steam - another disagreement, I hate Steam. I don't understand why I need to be online to play a game, that maybe, I don't want to play online or doesn't even have an online game mode. I also prefer consoles, though.Hmm, I'll compose a quick list
Mods
Better graphics
Games tend to run smoother
And Steam.
:)
(Though I do prefer playing on Consoles)

One reason why is customization of settings. I'm one of those who like to adjust settings to suit my tastes.
Bioshock is a good example. Is there a reason why the options are limited when using a controller:
Using PC mouse and keyboard:
XBox 360 Controller:
I also like playing games in a window while keeping track of other things. I don't use it all the time. But, I'm glad the option is there for many games.

I could go on but you get the picture.
Because it is an open system. I have more choice and ms or sony dont denote how i play and what is there. Dedicated servers also are great for comunities.
This has been answered for the umpteenth time in this thread, so I'll jus skip to my opinion. I think that consoles are better because of the exclusives and the franchises on them, plus the simplicity. I know you can use controllers on a PC, but it's so much simpler on consoles and you can bring some over to your friends house. On that point, consoles really hugely > PC, because of SPLITSCREEN. Blabadon
You mean no driver updates, plug and play or patches for console games? Guess again. Driver updates happen for consoles, games are installed to hard drives and games get patched. There are some other downsides about consoles, but those are the major ones.
Hey come on now, I started gaming on PC's when I was 10, and built my own PC when I was 14 (yeah I was kind of a nerd back then) so not the most fair statement :p. And lol some of your reasons are well...lol. The PC, speaking from an objective and quantitative view is the superior system. It gives you more options, you can do more things ona PC then a console, the PC is more powefull which results in better looking games, a better online system (due to dedicated servers and imo server browsers), and a higher number of quality exclusives (look at the spreadsheet). Also, as for the simplicity and hardware/software problems front, the PC's may have been harder to use in the past gens, but now, with them getting simpler and consoles getting more complicated, I'd say they are around the same (both have installs, driver/firmware updates, and well RROD on X360 and BSOD on PC, except one can solve a BSOD with a simple restart, RROD well either RMA or get a few more weeks out of it with the towel method, of course I know RROD's dont occur anymore but they were fairly prevalent in the past). As for price, everyone needs a PC, and well $1000 on a nice solid computer (can be had for less) is not really a huge amount of money. Its not like its a price of a car or anything, $1000 should be manageable for people who either a) students who have job but live with parents or b) people who already work or c) students that work and dabble in stocks.-Free online.

Is someone really trying to downplay the PC library because of Niche titles :? Are you **** serious? They are still high quality games. Just because the majority consolites don't appreciate games that aren't scripted cinematic turd fests, doesn't meant hey aren't fantastic. Console gamers try their best to downplay the pros of PC gaming, but it never works. This is proven by the countless number of times they get shown up in an argument about it by either Casey, or JediKevin.

And the ignorant fanboys never listen, pretty sure if you look at the last 2 pages you'll see a whole plethora of reasons, one of the main ones being "more quality exclusives, quality being defined by A+ scores", then again judging by your previous posts, not really surprised with the post you just wrote.Just the superior frate rate, which is not even close to make me change my console for a pc.
