Between the wife and I, her PS3, her DS Lite, my 360, my PSP, our Wii and both Gaming PCs along with both iPhones we haven't downloaded any downloadable content that wasn't free. No, Xbox Live Subscriptions don't count.

Our first microtransactional purchase will be the additional GTA IV content, which hopefully, I can purchase a Hard Copy of for PC.

How much do you think you've spent cummulative on microtransactions?

I think just the first DLC for Metal Gear Online, only because my friends bought it and because I could make a female character to have people think I was a real girl and follow me around. (which worked by the way)

I regretfully bought the 2nd Gears of War map pack and the Battlefield Euroforce expansion, or whatever it was called.

Probably between 50 and 100 pound. Ive got all the Oblivion DLC, PGR4 DLC, all the Halo 3 DLC, COD4 DLC, Lost Odyssey DLC etc etc. And then i have between 10 and 20 arcade games, and this is just on the 360. On the PS3 i have 4 PSN games, and i have 2 VC games on the Wii too.

Its not all bad, Avalanche and Ghost town are good. And i had low expectations of Blackout. Remaking a terrible map in the first place =/= good.

I honestly can't think of what Steam games allow microtransactions. All the updates I've had have been free.

I don't know how much I've spent. I bought a load for Oblivion on the 360, Castlevania: SOTY on Live Arcade and a few wallpapers to get rid of those last pesky points. I've got a handful of VC games as well. I'd hazard a guess at less than 100 Pound Sterling (stuff your malformed HTML Glitchspot).

Does games count?

If so I have a ton of PSN and PS1 games I've bought on PSN.

I haven't bought any extra DLC to a game yet tough.

I spent $16 on the 3 warhawk expansions. It included 3 maps and 3 different, new, vehicles. Pretty good deal considering the normal game only has 5 maps and 3 vehicles total.

Well I've easily bought over 200 in just Rock Band songs, but I've also bought Punch-Out!!, Sin & Punishment, Kid Icarus, Super Metroid and LostWinds from the Wii and Everyday Shooter and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix from PSN.

I bought all the Warhawk expansions for about $20. Well worth it for me. That's the only additional things I bought extra for a game. I'm sure Killzone 2 will get me with DLC , as well as some LBP stuff like the MGS4 level pack when I pick that up.

A whole lot. Tons of Rock Band songs (most of the DLC on that one actually), Halo 3 maps, Call of Duty 4 maps, about 10 themes, a couple of gamer pics, a few TV specials (I love the Bob Sagat roast! ), a lot of SingStar songs on PS3, some other stuff. Probably more than $100.

Agreed. But IMO it beats buying new discs every year. At least this way you can pick and choose.

Headlong is a great map. But lockout is one of the best, if not the best, competitive map in the game.

This gen? I think 10$ for a Rainbow 6 map pack. Last gen I bought the first pack of Halo 2 maps. When I found out those were going free I decided to wait for the next maps.

Do PSN games count? Ive bought Wipeout HD, Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty, the Metal Gear Level Pack for LBP, and pretty much every LBP costume pack (Street fighter, Motorstorm, Resistance, Loco Roco, Animal's Pack)

On 360 ive bought Prince Of Persia Classic, Street Fighter 2, Streets Of Rage 2, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and a ton of Guitar Hero 2/3 track packs

don't see how people could actually pay for the crap they call DLC for consoles. I mean new map packs (for example), items, levels, weapons, etc, have always been free on the pc. The developers went ahead and starting milking console owners for some reason. i mean come on, $1.5 for a virtual table in ps home?? who would actually pay for that????

Since it's my thread I'll go ahead and say that full games from days of old, such as Symphony of The Night, Castle Crashers, etc...etc... don't count as a microtransaction if it's a full game.

I'm speaking mainly of add-ons(expansion, maps, costumes, weapons, cars etc)

My wife was on Home earlier and we were both in awe that virtual tables were going for $2 and some of the free T-Shirts that the guy avatars got weren't available for female avatars.
