What Old Titles deserve a REBOOT?

A new game in the Dungeon Keeper franchise is in the works, maybe it is already released, here is some (disappointing) gameplay footage. Thankfully a spiritual sequel is in the works and will be released next February the 10th this year, the spiritual sequel is called Dungeons.

Oh snaps I forgot that Star Wars game that was for x box where you play as the storm trooper. Star Wars Republic Commando I think.

I would like to see Monkey Island or Grim Fandango redone in the style of Heavy Rain. I used to love the old point & click adventures and if we are talking real old school titles, then a reboot of the police quest series using GTA style would be awesome.

I know that most of you probably never heard of this game, but it was a real gem on the NES.

Since then I've always wanted a kick ass open ended game based on Greek Mythology. Unfortunately all we got was a shallow action game with a whiney douche bag protagonist named Kratos and a Hollywood depiction of the mythos.

could have been a masterpiece, but half the team left, most of the team was a bunch of noobs anyway, Romero should have stayed at Id and made it there

I also really enjoyed Shadow Of Rome (at least i think thats what it was called) on PS2.

You played a Roman soldier who became a gladiator in order to save his father from executed after being wrongly accused of killing Ceasar.

I had great fun hacking and slashing around the Arena and also completing the stealth missions they popped in to break up the action. Something similar this generation would be brilliant, although the aforementioned title was extremly bloody so it might be something most devs will stear clear of....quite a niche market i think.

Shadowrun - somewhat like Borderlands

Planescape: Torment. Though I'm afraid it might turn out something like Fallout 3 and be a hell of a disappointment compared to the first.

Runners: Zone of Enders also deserves a debut on the new generation -- though I'd rather see it next generation, with full-blown motion controls enabled (you may dislike Kinect and what it represents, but controlling a Mecha as if you were it would be awesome).

I've always wanted to see Megaman X a new reboot, although technically, it kind of is a reboot.

I mean,PSO was good and all,but I always thought it would be just a diferent series and that they would come back to the SP games eventually,but I guess not.

You don´t need to play FS1 to really enjoy FS2,but it would help a bit to understand some events of the sequel,there´s some really decent narrative in both games.

I wish I still had my old copies ... thats the problem with physical media it is prone to being lost, sold or damaged over time.

Will have to jump on Amazon or Ebay to see if I can track down some old copies I guess.

Maybe not a reboot, I'm normally against those. But I would like to see maybe some more sequels/prequels to Syphon Filter, Clock Tower, and Final Fight.
