What really matters in the real world when deciding to purchase a gaming system?

So according to some lemmings here, in the real world only the multiplats they choose count when someone looks into a system library. Crazy as I am I think people outside SW and, in general, people outside the internet, care more for ALL the games (and services of course) they can get on a system.

So I ask SW what do you think? What is really important in the real world? Will the real world coincide with the SW metagame? with stevo's lemmings game? with factors as, for example, just the amount of exclusives from this gen or sales? or maybe the whole library of the game is important to people when they decide? for example the arcade games on the 360 are a plus or the fact you can play Xbox games too and the PS1 and PS2 Classics are also a factor in favor of the PS3, or the fact that you can play Snes games on the Wii or very old games on PC that are not from this gen. As well as all the other games available to play on each of the systems.

So what is your veredict here SW?

What matters is whatever ps3 doesn't have cause its in last place.

Entire library.

For me personal, the only interessting thing on consoles and handhelds are exclusives since I own every system. But when it comes to the average person who only buys one system, it's obviously the entire library

The only thing that matters is what games will I plan on playing. There's nothing on the poll worth considering when it comes to actual games....except exclusives/library which are games, purely and simply. The rest are mainly attempts at deciding who has the longer wanker.

To me, those are all games and the only reason needed.

I base everything I do in real life based off of Stevo's charts, so my decision was easy

I imagine it would completely depend on the individual's intended use for the system.

The easy answer is the games on the system, but there is just more to it than that.

Do you have real life friends that have systems? Do they play it? Are you even remotely interested in the games they play?

Do you want to play multiplayer games, single player games, or both?

Are you using it for more than games?

Kinect, Wii and the 3DS are selling like hotcakes and I didn't buy them. They suck in my tastes.
