if you buy the same console your friends do, you end up saving a fair bit of cash if you all loan games to one another.I did that with Red faction so glad now i didnt put downn £40 on it.

Well, we are talking about real life friends here, or so I thought. It isn't like choosing a different console requires you to never see them again.

Great games > mediocre games with friends, perhaps. But mediocre games with friends > medocre games without friends, any day of the week.

Games are mediocre, with so few exceptions they should not even be considered because they come about with such infrequency that they can't be relied upon.

In the real world library is #1 and price/performance is #2.

PS3 came out with basically no library and they lost third-party support due to their architecture.

It was more expensive to develop for. So ppl got a 360 for the library and it snowballed.

After PS3 got a library going, it sold more evenly.
