What reason is there to go PC as opposed to consoles in terms of certain games?

Unfortunately to have access to all those exclusives you need to pay like 7 different monthly MMO fees.

Why would you even play 7MMOs at once?

Rather than high scoring big budget retail exclusives they are used to like your uncharted's and halo's

Minecraft is reason enough, really. Highly simple, yet mindnumbingly addictive.

I feel bad for people that can't appreciate both consoles and PC's though. Truly missing outon some gems on all platforms.

Games like Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, and DA2 look fine on console running at sub-30FPS, w/ no AA, at sub-720p

and a Kia is fine for most people, doesn't mean you won't see others driving a Mercedes.

It may be fine to you but to other's it looks like a blurry mess and crap compared to crystal quality of 1080P. Some people are fine with DVD's quality but other's would much prefer to watch moviesin the crystal clear quality Blu-ray 1080P. They just have higher standards.

Actually its more signifigant now...i would say its like vhs to dvd, but at the start of the gen its like dvd to blueray

In terms of the more popular exlcusive and multi-plat game genres, such as Action/Adventure, Shooters, WRPG, Fighting, Sports, and JRPG's? What well-known quality exclusives in those genres does the PC offer over consoles? I understand when it comes to Sims and RTS's PC would outshine, but majority rule that the game genres I listed are the more exciting ones this gen. Is the extra $300 - $1000 more on PC parts over a console worth AA, 1920x1080 at 35FPS+, and mods? Games like Crysis 2, Dead Space 2, and DA2 look fine on console running at 30FPS, w/ no AA, at 720p and upscaled 1080p.

PC offers a lot of advantages over consoles. Personally I'm getting a new PC so I can play games like Battlefield 3, Red Orchestra 2, The Witcher 2, Duke Nukem Forever, and more or less every other game that's about to exist, the way I feel they should be played.

if you love fps, RTS/cRPG and some casual fun game(nfs etc) go for a pc. even some action games do better on pc eg batman AA, PoP WW.

if you have both pc & console use console only for exclusives and *** games such as onimusha ,DMC, RE their pc version sucks.

Bottom line if you've good rig multi platformer works better on pc ( action lover must use a good gamepad, i'm using MS xbox controller)

No thanks, TF never interested me, and nor does TF2 (I was never into those types of things anyway). Besides, those anime-esk girls are more fun to use (reminds me of the fun I used to have with Unreal Tournament and some of those downloadable player models also based on anime characters).

It's the only system that lets you do everything.

PC threads always make me wonder, why do people seem to think RTS is the only strategy sub-genre? Is it because it's so damn popular right now?

I concur. Especially after you put on the MODs with better textures to make the games look much better.

Both of those games struggle to keep a steady 30fps and usually dip into the low 20's. Talk about low standards.:P

because at a certain point common sense tells you that the person preffering the inferior product may be insane. An example would be someone having the choice between a honda and a ferrari, and choosing the honda. It doesnt take a study to understand such simple idea's.
