What reasons do you dislike the Wii for...

Dude how is the third party support the weakest... it has the mostqualitythird party exclusives by far... also the Wii library when you compare total scores from Gamespot (which I usually do not do) is better than the PS3 lineup...

The Wii has the worst library by far, and it certainly doesn't take strength from its third party exclusives (which are generally awful). Even the PS3 has a better library.

Here's some Gamerankings stats for you.

Xbox 360: 8 AAAs, 45 AAs
PS3: 1 AAA, 13 AAs
Wii: 2 AAAs, 5 AAs

I said gamespot dude stop loopholing with Gamerankings...

Nintendo is only company making decent games for it. 3rd parties only use it as a cheap cash in.

Oh, and it costs way too much at $250.

As much as I loved Frontier Elite, X-2: The Threat just does it better thanks to superior technology IMO (the soundtrack rocks too :o )

Freelancer gives it a run for its money as well.

If were talking exclusives, the Wii has the better line up, the PS3 has a bunch of multi plats, sports games and what not, that the 360 has as well, not impressive.

Are you saying you would want less quality games on your system because of them being multiplats? Also most of those multiplats arnt even on the Wii in the first place so it doesnt really matter that much unless you plan on buying 2 systems, which will always be better than 1 system every time.

I own one, my only major gripe about it is the lack of great games. But with MP3 coming out this week, things are going to start getting better for the Wii this holiday.cyborgjak427

Quality games take time to make man... only now are we starting to see a ton of great games coming to Wii because after launch Nintendo was still developing and the third party developers were caught with their pants down... they are still trying to get their acts together but in the coming months we will see some quality games from them like Dewy's Adventure...

No not really Bioware has not impressed me much... Baldur's Gate II was great but neverwinter Nights was not so great and while KOTOr was good Jade empire was terrible... Mass effect could be good and I will probably end up buying it anyway but I am not anticipating it too much...

Costs far too much for what the hardware is. $250 could've easily made a near 360 power system, just like Nintendo had done with the $199 Gamecube before. Instead we have a rehashed Gamecube with ancient technology for $250. The Wii at $149 still makes Nintendo money but also provides good VALUE to the consumer. The games also need variable pricing based off content.... last gen visuals tiny games are not worth $50 period and the VC ROM downloads are overpriced too. The Wii would be a great secondary system if it was actually priced right and not just a huge rip off.

Also the controller is not nearly as functional as people are lead to believe. Prettymuch nothing is 1:1 control. It needed real position sensoring to have much potential aside from a movement replacing a button. The new Eyetoy has far more potential for interaction than the Wiimote. Nintendo should've done a combination between both camera and controller.

maybe because you list all the games on the wii catalogue, iehalf baked ports like Scarface/Godfather and pass that off as good or even try to claim RE4 is a new game on the wii.

It's cheap in comparison, but those other consoles are actually worth their value if not more (at the time of their releases specifically). Wii is nothing more than an overpriced pentium III, which is basically worthless now. I got better things to spend my money on.

That is true but my point was that it is still a next generation console... and out of the 3 it is the cheapest. Your comparison is an amazing harddrive compared to a harddrive that would have been outdated 10 years ago... so a last-last-last generation harddrive vs a next generation harddrive...

I am wondering because the wii gets a lot of hate around here but people are usually not specific as to why they hate it so much... what are your reasons for hating it I am wondering if they hold up under scrutiny or are still just "wii sucks"...FlockofSpagheti

I can give you my "personal" opinion as to why I wont buy one. But im getting a bad feeling this will not end well and i will be called shallow or closed minded.

1.Controls are not as good as they are let on to be. And for alot of the games I have played either does not work the way I think it would or I cannot relax. I have found the the uses they have made with the controller to be either annoying or moranic.

2.No RPGS that im aware of. Well you have paper mario but im no longer a mario fan.

3.Third parties push shovelware onto the console.

4.Cooking mama type games.

Also I would like to say these have been said a great many of times and they still get ignored as "good" reasons to not like the console at this current time .

Btw you would have been better off starting a theard on how much Wing Commander > Elite > Freelacer > X3

The Ps3 and the 360 are capable of quality sound and the poor Wii is just outclassed in this department.

What really ticks me off is after listening to the excellent ingame sounds of Resistance and the Bioshock is the BAD Wii sound production values in most Wii games.

The Wii gets my hate! due to playing a wii game a week ago and the sound coming from my mains left and right was stereo? stereo! yuck! . and the major outrage so far was monophonic sound(Third party trash!) being emited from both left and right mains speaker drivers.

The sound on the Wii sucks!

Bad graphics.

No movie playback.

No storage for any four gig. heavy metal comics.
