What Sheep Dont Get

Is that games are given review scores that are judged against the current library on THAT PARTICULAR CONSOLE, thats why psp and ds games can score 9's, 9.5's and 10's in categories like graphics/sound as they are compared to other games on THE SAME CONSOLE and not as a whole. For example a game on the Wii that scores a 10 in graphics only gets that score because its judged against all other wii games and in comparison to the Wii library of games it is incredible and deserves a 10 however if the game was on the 360/ps3/pc with EXACTLY the same graphics, it would only score a 6 at best. So Mario Galaxy 2 as good as it must be only really shows how weak the rest of the Wii library really is.

Problem is, if the game were on 360/PS3 or PC why would it have the same graphics?

Either way, the reviewer deemed SMG2 worthy of a 10, so just try not to damage control too hard :lol:

I believe Mario Galaxy should not have won GOTY, I also Believe Crysis Warhead should of won best tecnical graphics over MGS4, but hey thats gamespots opinion, not mine

What most people on System Wars don't get is...that a review is an opinion...simple as that.

That's why sites like Metacritic are the best sources since they take many reviews and average them out. Many reviews are always better than one review. Maybe the reviewer loves or hates a type of game...will that not affect his review?

On a personal note, the first SMG was a lot of fun and a solid all around game, which had some of the best graphics of any console game. It was probably the best game released for the Wii so far. From what I've seen of SMG2 it is actually going to be better, so IMO it should get a solid 10. I"ll be getting my copy on Sunday that's for sure.

If GTA4 and MGS4 were on the Will and looked and played the way they did on the ps3/360/pc (gta4) and ps3 (MGS4) then they would have scored 20/10

Nice now lets compare every game on PS3/360 to Crysis. A 10 is a great game by any standards. Like it or not.OreoMilkshake

It will still win GotY & be better then most the AAA titles released on the PS3 & 360 within the last year at least. I'm saying this & I don't even own a Wii, nor was I fond of Super Mario 64. People need to stop being so upset & accept that if you don't own a Wii, you are missing out on an incredible game. As it's been said, the only thing the Wii lacks in regards to the HD consoles is the graphics, but fortunately graphics matter the least, especially when Wii games are by no means ugly, especially titles that choice the artistic route, such as Okami & Muramasa, the latter being one of the best looking games this gen.
