I know everyone is sick of the, Wii vs 360 vs PS3 threads but I need help.

Currently I have an Xbox 360, a few accessories, and Rock Band and Guitar Hero 3.
I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I do enjoy laying back and playing some games, as well as playing games with other people.
My Xbox 360 is my current DVD player right now, so I'd like to get a system that offers that feature.
I also love the fact that you can download demo's on Xbox Live, and also buy 'patches' with Microsoft points - do any other systems offer something similar to that?

Graphics really aren't a big deal to me as I play most games on my PC, but they sure do look good :)

My question is, I want to get rid of my Xbox 360 and all of the components and get either a PS3 or Wii.

I have a gaming PC that pretty much offers the same games I like for the 360 does (minus a few.)

I love Nintendo games - Zelda, Smash Brothers, Mario, Animal Cross, Metroid and so on, but have been putting off buying a Wii due to the fact I don't feel like running around while I'm playing games (as I like to relax while I play games), and the fact that I need a system that will play dvds.

I also love playing Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and highly anticipate the sequals (are they coming out on PS3 and Wii?)

The PS3 looks nice, but the price is rather steap - I do enjoy watching movies, but I don't have any blue ray movies (can you play basic DVDs in the PS3?) Also, the PS3 doesn't really have any games that appeal to me - the games look great, but most of the games are available on 360, Wii, or PC.

Based off what I said, what system do you think would benefit me the most?

Thanks alot!

Ignore Dirty Horse. He/she has shown an obvious agenda against the Wii.

Take a nice loooooong look at the titles offered on each system (both at present and in the future), and then pick the one with the most that interest you.

omg i cant believe you . you are the one to look at the titles and you just told him not to listen to me because i said not to go for the wii no matter what. and i gotta say if you want to look at the titles then the wii would defenitly out of his choice. i mean who the hell spents 250 just for three games? mario zelda and some other one.

See, this is exactly what I mean. Its obvious that you haven't actually researched what games were available for the system.

Since you have a PC I'd recommend PS3 and PC. I have a PS3, PC and Wii. But I enjoy my PC and PS3 gaming the most. I also feel like between the two it gives me the broadest range of games available. As far as DVD playback goes, PS3 does that too and it upscales.

Based on what you said, you either sell your 360 and buy something like groceries or what not, or keep it.

Wii-For you? Nah. You like sitting down and relaxing. The Wii can't play dvds.

PS3-Eh, iono. The games don't interest you. You like watching movies but don't have any blu-ray. The price is high. The 360 has most of the games the PS3 has(Since the PS3 games don't interest you). Lets say you get a PS3 and don't buy Blu-Ray movies and you only have dvds, what will be the point in getting it in the first game? You also don't have an interest for it's games as well.

360-Mostly everything you want are on here already.

But I can't answer for you, so I won't give you an answer. I can only help you with the outcome on your final decision. Good Luck my friend.

Truthfully I would keep your 360, and pick up a Wii. Based on your game lists, you like Rock Band, Guitar Hero and the such. You do know Rock Band 2 is 360 exclusive? Also what do your friends own?

Pick between a 360/PS3.
