im new to this site i want to know what every one reccomends is the best gamming pc , xbox or ps3 as i have 1800 to spend and want to start good gaming ? i was thinkin a good pc or ps3 ?? thanks adamrochester
with that money you can easily get both (PC-console combo). Not only that, but get the multiplats that everyone has been talking about for bargain price on either platform (preferably the PC for multiplats) and get the exclusives that have been dominating on the ps3/360. Although as a personal preference I incline myself more to the PS3 as the console choice due to free, solid online experience and exclusives that stay exclusive after launch. Also, the quality of the discs make my game collection look like "just unwrapped"
shared computer? I'd rather have the console then. But if your PC is really really old i Think you can get a really good PC for the 800 alone.

whats a pc- console combo ??? and whats multiplats ??? im new here lolok i might just build a comp what do you guys have ? or play most on adamrochester
Even though I recently upgraded my pc graphic card, i still play PS3 the most. If you're gonna share the computer... just build a 800-1000 one with half the funds from your sis. Then get a 360/ps3 with the remaining 300 you'll have, or maybe she even wants to fund half of it. There's many games on Ps3 that you won't find on a PC. And then whenever your sis is using the PC you could be playing the ps3.
multiplat= multiplatform game. Means it's normally on PC-360-PS3. If you have a good PC, that would be the way to go. Cheaper too.
PC-console combo. I simply mean to have a PC and a console to complement it. If you're going to share your PC, having another platform to play in would be recommended.
Consoles do games and media. PC does games, media, online browsing, video editing, audio editing. etc. PC. There's not much point in getting the consoles now since most of the good games (imo) are on pc as well. If you have spare get the conolse which exclusives you most prefer.emperorzhang66if you're talking about the 360, yep. But on PS3 it still relies heavily on exclusives.
i say the pc, u can do anything with a pc, and its free to play online.. nothing beats a pc :) and get a ps3 if u have the money leftover, so u have a bluray player and it has good exclusives, xbox has good exclusives too but theres not many but it does have a better online community but definitely pc if u want the best possible gaming experienceBangerman15thanks every one how much should me and my sister spend on the comp ??? and ps3 over x box ? def ?
ok cool thanks for the help guys what are exclusives ?? so i should spend 800 on a comp - each or me and my sister only spend 800 all up together ? roughly how much money should me and my sister spend on a computer i want to play games ...sick condition no lag ectt.... ??? one of my mates reckons spend $2000 on a comp but he is super nerd has like 2 screens and **** fuk that !!! and after we get the comp get a ps3 aswell ? or should i get xbox ??? what ever one yous recomend weres the best place to get it from ? online ? or jb ?? and i would have to buy a new t.v to what do you guys reccomend ?? led ? lcd ? and what brand and were from is the best place ? thanks !!!adamrochesterIf you buy the right parts you can get a pretty awesome PC for 800-1000$. It all depends on what you want. I wouldnt get the super awesome last card on the market for 500$ or so because thats overkill, just way too much. So if you go a step below and get the second-to-best you'll save up some money (about half the price) and also be able to play almost every modern game with highest quality, except for certain games such as....metro2033, which are a PC nightmare.

Dude, always do research using your own opinions before throwing around that kind of money.
PC + PS3 better combo than PC + 360. Multiplatforms are best on PC, and PS3 delivers better exclusives than 360. PC is actually the cheapest platform in terms of value once you establish yourself as a PC gamer. It's also more elite in terms of passion of content that the PC gaming community delivers in which you'll feel apart off, like youtube videos of Team Fortress 2 related in-jokes for example.
how much do you reccomend me and my sister spend for a sick pcadamrochesterFirst, I bet you don't even have a clue as to what games are on the pc. If you wanna rush out and blow a grand on a pc go ahead, but do your research first. I'd either get a ps3 or 360. A 360 if you are into online gaming. Developers are starting to make more and more games for consoles, with most of the quality titles from the quality devs being console exclusive

wow you have 1800 bucks to spend and you want to buy video games???? how old are you

Is age synonymous with spending $1800 on gaming? He has a sis throwing in money which likely means they live together, likely making him in his early-mid teens.

TC go to the PC hardware board and they will give you a great PC for any budget. Plus theres black friday sales on and you can pick up some hardware pretty cheaply atm.
OK:
Step 1 - Buy Gaming PC + 30" monitor $1100
Step 2 - Buy PS3. $400
Step 3 - Buy 50 games on the Steam black friday sale for your PC. $180
Step 4 - buy an exclusive or two for your PS3 at bestbuy. $120
Step 5 - Ascend to gaming god-hood.
Jesus, how would you ever have time to play through 50 PC games? :oim new to this site i want to know what every one reccomends is the best gamming pc , xbox or ps3 as i have 1800 to spend and want to start good gaming ? i was thinkin a good pc or ps3 ?? thanks adamrochester
Xbox 360 + Kinect will get you the best of PS3 + PC world for cheapest price, great exclusives and best motion controls too
No kidding a PS3 and 360 combined will run you $600 (assuming you want more than 4 GB of memory on your 360) and you can get a very nice PC that can max out any current game for about $900, then have between $300 and $500 to spend on games.I think you can get all three with that kind of money.
waltefmoney
I'd spend $1,400 and get a $900 PC, $300 PS3, and $200 Wii, you get the most high rated exclusive games that way, many of the 360's top titles are shared with and have superior versions on the PC.
Get a pc, and a wii, then emulate your Wii games on your PC.... best combo. And you will have about $800 left over.

You can play Many multiplat games like cod on the pc with a few quality exclusives like crysis or wow. But the "glory games" of gaming are on consoles (halo, killzone, mgs, uncharted, lbp, mario, etc etc) the fact is, devs go where the money is. Consoles are the mainstream, hardcore pc gaming, not so much. And pirating doesn't help it any
Get a $500-700 PC and a $200 Wii and have the best, and most varied gaming experience this gen. You get all the multiplats from the HD consoles in their best forms, and you don't miss out on a large quantity of very unique exclusives on the Wii that aren't gimped PC games (that, and there aren't many exclusives on either the PS3 or 360 that are worth owning either for... unless you want them ALL).
Steam is going to be having a sale over the Christmas holidays... so don't put all your money into the computer, save a bunch to buy a ton of games with.
Because console deals dont exist. I bough mass effect 2, bc2, and god of war 3 for 80 bucks, when those two games were still 50 each on steam.Well then buy a PC.
The initial price is more than that of a console, but it'll end up being cheaper in the long run.
With DD services like steam, you can get 5 PC games for the price of one console game.
