It doesn't have to be graphics king, just a game where you really dig its presentation, like the visuals, art, overall atmosphere, etc.

Disgaea 3 - Quirky, but I like it.

Tales of Vesperia - My favourite JRPG so far.

MGS4 for me no doubt. Next would be fallout 3, mass effect, or bioshock.

Another of my favourites is:

Star Ocean: The Last Hope - Fun game, still not finished.

The Last Remnant - The PC version is actually quite good. I wasn't expecting much.

Gears 2, Bioshock, Fallout 3 all had awesome presentations.

Graphical presentation- WipEout HD: Liquid-smooth 60FPS + near flawless 1080p visuals = absolutely stunning to watch. The first level in R&C FTOD looked superb-also. Crysis also, obviously.

Overall audio-visual presentation-MGS4.

Atmosphere-Bioshock probably.

Pure art-direction- Meh it's very hard for me to decide:

Well since I did enjoyed the sceneries, explosion and thing like that in crysis I would go with that.

So hard to choose, I'm just easy to please in that way. I guess I'd say The Witcher.

Very nice balance between gritty realism and fantasy. Liked all the details, gore, nudity, environments and effects for e.g when you get drunk, even if it wasn't tecnically all that fancy.

But just as well I could had said Stalker, Spore, L4D, Soase, Drakensang, Mass Effect or something like that, all great in their own ways.

Other than S.T.A.L.K.E.R, mass effect, and GTA4:

Not really current gen, it was released around the time of cod2.
