Ok here are some twitter expressions from Reviewers just to show how awesome this game will be. Johnny Minkley from Eurogamer: Well I just finished Uncharted 3. @johnnyminkley that's didn't take long. Couldn't put it down? Or just really short? @OrangeGiraffeUK Couldn't put it down! nathan irvine from gamesradar Took me about eight to nine hours of solid play. Some of the set-pieces in it are jaw-dropping. You bought that PS3 yet. I'd put them in order of most recent = best. So U3 is my favourite. They come on loads each new release. @Desmio possibly. Everything is so much bigger in this one. Nathan from gameradar feels thats this is the best game released this year and easily top 3 in this generation and best in the series. Some other people: Played it for an hour, and I'm inclined to confirm what GR guy said. It's people-stopping stuff. Really. Had to stop playing because the crowd of bystanders from the office got too big. @Nathan_Irvine: That's yer Uncharted 3 completed. Breathless action from start to finish. You're in for a treat.driller338

Uncharted 2 was amazing and this is Naught Dog we're talking about. I expect nothing lessfromthemto exceed their work in Uncharted 2, and that's a lot to handle.

And so it continues... *sigh*

I thought the thrill of the shallow flashiness would've worn off by now. I for one can't stand being a back seat driver when it comes to games

If you'd actually played Uncharted 2 you'd know that this isn't the case. You participate in everything and there is almost no qte. Compared to other cinematic games you're incredibly active. This game if any you're truly the driver.

Sure it's flashy but you "drive" more than any game. Except the talking bits of course. In any other game this would've most likely been a cutscene. The player sucks though, and it's like the easiest setting, just sayin

Also I much rather play this and experience amazing set pieces in amazing environments than solving shallow crap puzzles in Zelda (puzzles clearly meant for young children). Just sayin.

Don't say that.. You "drive" more in inFAMOUS, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Batman Arkham Asylum, Dark Souls, Devil May Cry, Halo, GTA, and pretty much every single game made before this gen...

I have played the game and the only time I enjoyed myself was during the car chace sequence and the first puzzle involving your journal... The game felt like it completely controled my pacing and parts like the museum and the ice cave with tenzen were just to serve story and provided some of the most pointless gaming experences out there. Then when it gets past the halfway point it becomes overly repetative with large shoot out sequences.

And don't get me started with the so called platforming in the game

What the heck does "drive" more mean?? Game completely controlled your pacing? It's a linear game if I'm not mistaken. The whole point of it was to pace it as a blockbuster hit while being a game. It's like some people criticize uncharted for not being an sandbox game. Either way it was damn fun with the pacing. I understand where your going with this, but you have to understand Uncharted isn't supposed to be like those games. What you want is Uncharted to have more freedom in it's progression. LIke to be able to just do whatever you want in a certain area to complete it. I actually understand now what your saying. I do think thats the way the game is intended to be played though. The freedom is in it's combat and gameplay. You can take enemies out in different ways and do things slghtly different. I get it.

[QUOTE="Randoggy"]Games is going to be amazing. Can't wait for my Uncharted 3 collectors edition. Finally my Solid Snake action figure can stand beside Drake lol.finalstar2007

lol same here but my action figure will stand next to Cole from infamous 2 :P

Haha nice! Snake and Drake will also be accompanied by Meryl Silverburgh and Lara Croft. There are tons of EB Games around me still selling Killzone 3 and Infamous 2 collector editions. I'm just waiting for them to drop in price abit more so I can grab all the goodies inside for a fair price.

Uncharted haters are more annoying than Dark Souls fanboys. Fact.

Haiyama
This. Although I have no idea how annoying Dark Souls fanboys are because I NEVER go into threads about Dark Souls because I couldnt care less about the game, and I abhored Demon Souls. I have no intention of EVER playing Dark Souls, entering a thread about Dark Souls, nor have I cared to read any reviews. Because that is what you do when you hate a game ;)

@coolbgdog

Nah I don't really think of any franchise as the "god of them all", nothing like that exists.

Zelda sure you're in control most of the time but all you do is walk in a big empty field and solve lame easy puzzles. Mario jump on some turtles yay...

In Uncharted 2 you're also in control when you do the puzzles or walking. Just like Zelda. And fighting like Dark Souls. The thing is none of these games has you in control while being in a collapsing house, jumping between cars or climbing on a train. Not really, both parts was to bring the story forward and Istanbul had stealth whereas the Ice cave had nicely designed platforming. Not to mention you get to see gorgeous environments with great music you'll never see in a zelda game.

No it doesn't it constantly comes up with new set pieces and all the shootouts are very different and varied. There are always several ways to handle them.
