The PS3 and X360 have great graphicsd because they are powerful, not because it supports HD. HD makes games look marginally better and is most useful for things with small print (reading the text on individually items on Dead RIisng is awesome- and very funny at times)
On a SDTV, it still looks next gen, and about the same

OOOOO HECK NO....seriously the difference is pretty huge well with games like NBA 2k7 and Fight Night Round 3.
