It's about the game, not the system. Now, if you wanted to say... "there are 40 people who arent 360 fanboys" you would be correct. But I'm a pretty big GTA4 fan, and I'm still going to buy it on my PS3.
Why do I want it? I want it on my reliable console. I want it on my free online. I want it because the DLC doesnt really interest me. After I finish the 50+ hour campaign, I think I'll be fine playing SOCOM, or MGS4. Besides, the PS3 and the 360 is getting DLC after the 360's exclusive stuff is released.
ur right.
but i dunno. if ppl were true fans of GTA and want to experience everything the game has to offer, they gotta bite the bullet and buy the 360 version.
So what if everybody played hem all on a PS2. The Sony version isnt definitive because of its past, its the experience that matters.
but if you are a fan but not a total fan, i understand if the content isnt enticing. My point is diehard fans must buy the 360 version.
But I am a total fan, lol. That's like saying last gen you werent a GTA fan unless you got Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories for the PSP (which I did) but anyway. Yeah, the die hard, corest of the cores GTA fans will probably buy the 360 version.
I hope you just own a PS3, cause then I can understand your decision. Plz dont tell me u also own a 360........

Yes I also own a PS3. Why are you acting like that is soooo hard to believe?
I dont care about 20+ hours of DLC. Like I said, after 50+ hour campaign of GTA4, I will be completely fine and dandy knowing I played the full game, without the DLC, and moving on to MGS4/SOCOM/Whatever. You act like the PS3 is getting some half made demo of the game. It's getting the full game.
Besides, I'm not asking you to understand my decision. You probably couldnt understand my decision until you've experinced what my 360 has been like. Especially considering you dont own a PS3 either... it's not the inferior system people would have you believe. ;)

in that case i recomend selling ur 360 and buy a new one in august when that 65nm cpu and gpu comes out
I'm getting it for Xbox 360. because I don't currently own a PS3.
If/when the game comes to PC, I will also get that version. I enjoy using a mouse/keyboard for all on-foot action in GTA (III, Vice City, and San Andreas) and switch to my 360 gamepad for vehicle control.
360,
When faced with two similar options, I will take the one where I have the option of more content if I really like it.
If you have a good enough PC, you can defintiely afford a console to be honest...

PC version doesn't have every GTA game what makes you think they will get IV?
LCS and VCS?
Handheld versions don't count. They are basically retreads of Vice City and GTA 3. You should be embarrassed to even bring those into any conversation.in that case i recomend selling ur 360 and buy a new one in august when that 65nm cpu and gpu comes out-GhostMLD-
lol!!! Uh, no. I'll just keep my PS3. Maybe lemmings should be called "cows" because only someone would let a company milk them into buy two of the same consoles because it was faulty. Get over it man, I dont really care about the DLC. It isnt worth it to me!!!! I'll be playing another game by the time the 20 extra hours of content hits! And if I want to go back and play GTA... I WILL!! BECAUSE IT HAS UNLIMITED REPLAYIBILITY!! I STILL PLAY SAN ANDREAS FROM TIME TO TIME, WITHOUT PLAYING THE MISSIONS!!! Geesh man, get over it already. I dont care about the DLC, thus, I'm getting it on the PS3.
And sorry for sounding mean there but geesh dude, you've heckled me on two threads just because I dont care for the DLC. I've told you time and time again. Why do you care so bad? Do you get 5 bucks for every 360 version sold? No? Then get over me not buying it.

LoL so true, what's GTA without mods. (then again, what's any game without mods)
The 360 because that is the definitive edition (with DLC). Altso, the poll results will easily be ps3 because these forums are so filled with cows it isn't funny.wapahala
Oh my gosh. Then why would anybody post a poll? Good grief. If it was "Lemmings" with 80% of the poll you'd be tooting your horn about it all you could. To say that there are more cows here than lemmings just because the cows are winning is just an excuse.
The excuses people make man. It's ridiculous.
The 360 version is going to sell more....just like COD4. The 360 version didn't have problems when in development and DLC is a must.
This forum is just full of cowpies scattered all over.

MadExponent
lol The DLC isnt a must. Good grief. It is really killing you lemmings that the PS3 is winning in the poll huh?
"Oh, it's just because there is so many cows". Guaranteed you wouldnt say that if the 360 was winning. And besides, if the 360 has a higher user base... wouldnt it make since that most people on this site own a 360?
I'm not claiming it as fact or anything, but at least that's a rational arguement to counter your irrational arguement.
I'm getting it for the definitive 360 because it has the definitie version of GTA IV and here are my definitie reasons I'm getting it for what some people like to call it Godbox3sexay:
rumble/controller = this feature is straight out of the box, you don't need to buy new controllers just to have last gen rumble, also Rockstar have stated that the aiming is way different from previous GTA games, so I have a feeling GTA IV will revolve around the Trigger buttons.
achievements = this feature is out now, and it really adds to the replay value. There's so many things to do in GTA IV, it's just nice having a point system that adds up all the cool things you discovered and having the option for other people to see your hard work and time and effort you put in the game.
xbox live = this time around, GTA IV will feature a robust online multiplayer, and when you think of online multiplayer features you think of xbox Live. It makes match making so easier, it makes communicating with other gamers easier, it just connects you to other gamers easier, it just does it the best.
headsets = everyone will guarantee to have headsets, everyone, not just most, but everyone. So it's guaranteed that you'll be playing with people with headsets and you could organize your games instead of just running around unorganized.
custom soundtracks = this feature is available now. When you're tired of hearing the same GTA music, you have the option to play your own music with the ease of your controller. You don't have to worry about plugging in any ipods and having to control these ipods you connected wired manually. You can just use your 360 controller and play your own music.
exclusive episodic content = sure previous GTA games were all about free roaming but this time around Rockstar have stated this GTA will be story driven, which mean you will be compelled to the main character Niko's story. And while the other version will have a beginning and ending, the defiinitive 360 version will continue on. These content are 10 hours each. Having the option to lenghten your GTA IV experience is better than not having that option at all.
So these features I mentioned are out now! There's no need for waiting for these features hoping it'll be good, because these features are alrady proven. This is why Rockstar stated that the definitive version of GTA IV is the Xbox 360 GTA IV version.

I'm talking about this forum. Now I can argue that the PS3 currently has a lack of good games and so therefore that is why they are raising hell on here about GTAIV and MGS4 constantly...but I won't.
This forum is full of PS3 fanboys and you know it, just look at all the negative 360 posts on the main page.
The 360 version did not have problems during development, whereas the PS3 version did, also the fact that it has DLC makes it more valuable to owners of both systems.
I think that the sales of the game will overwhelmingly be on the 360. We will have to wait until about a week after release to know that.
I'm getting it for the definitive 360 because it has the definitie version of GTA IV and here are my definitie reasons I'm getting it for what some people like to call it Godbox3sexay:

Good Post
wow lol i made a thread of this i think last week
and ps3 version was winning by FAR,...same iz going with this
i have both systems but i am getting ps3 becuase of the controller and i know i am going to put alot of hours in this game so dont want RROD
and it will look nicer for my gta disc to be sucked in by a sexy ps3 unlike me putting it into my 360 by ejecting the damn tray then put disc on it then pushing it back then suddenly having to here the frightening jet plane liftoff
btw my 360 as halo and gears so it doesnt need anything elese as i dont find any other games interesting on 360
or yea halo and gears of war >> any game on 360 and any game on ps3 currently!
The 360 got this on LOCKED.
