Wii? Ummmm what?
Wii U? Ummm, what, what?
N64 Ummm, what, what, what?
2DS, 3DS? We'll just stop right there, too easy. Lololol :P
All of those make sense though. Wii just sounds bad.
Rather than just X "because that's the coolest letter ever". Or "One" when it's really three. Or "360". Makes zero freaking sense, and is very confusing.
Makes sense to you. Opinions man.
Also, Xbox 360, makes all the sense in the world if you understand "360" meaning full scope, all in One, media, XBL, on, off line, game playing device. Seems it did pretty well.
An oh, "X" fur chur is the coolest letter in the world, just ask anyone. lol :P
True, I thought about that after I posted. It's the only Xbox name that make any sort of sense, I give you that one.
With "Wii" it makes sense when you know what it means. "Wii U" was all sorts of dumb though, and probably just a poor attempt at selling to those who bought the Wii.
N64 = Nintendo 64 bits. NES was 8 bit, SNES 16 bit, N64 64 bits. Not sure how they measure that, though..
3DS? Earlier system was called "DS" for dual screens. Next one also has dual screens but also 3D, so "3DS". Pretty snappy name.
2DS = How do we let people know that it's a 3DS without the 3D? "2DS". Also makes sense, and sounds pretty snappy.
