That's perfectly understandable. Frankly, getting a cheap PS3 and playing through the various collections would be a better bet than a PS4 in your case. Then resell the PS3.
Well, no. I'm only buying the PS4 because its gpu is better than X1. That way when there's a multiplat that is clearly better on PS4 I'll get the PS4 version. If PS4 and X1 were technically equal I wouldn't bother with PS4. The remasters are a bonus. The multiplat thing ain't always simple though. Still can't decide which version of Witcher 3 I want cuz PS4 has a resolution edge but X1 has a framerate edge.
@Wickerman777: If neither ecosystem is a big deal, then get the X1. It has several advantages, such as EA Access and more exclusives, versus the PS4s two advantages of a better GPU and more JRPGs. Regardless of what you choose, have fun! :)

I'm gonna get both of them. But my preferred ecosystem is Xbox. It's just a shame that Don Mattrick fucked up the brand so badly. Although he's gone his shadow still looms with that craptacular hardware design that Spencer can do nothing about. Were it not for that it would just be Xbox for me. But because some multiplats are certainly gonna be better on PS4 I'm getting that too, and what the hell ... might as well hit up a few Sony franchises I haven't before while I'm at it.
But while speaking about shitty hardware I wanna clarify something else, PS4 is also a turd when it comes to hardware. Guys like tormentos and a bunch of other mindless fanboys at this site amuse the hell out of me cuz they act like because their turd has one or two less kernels of corn in it than the other one does it's somehow gold. It isn't, it's a turd too. This is the first console generation I've ever seen where all products in the race are crap. Why the hell companies like Samsung and Apple didn't come storming through the door that was left wide open for them by these two companies is beyond me. Sure, these machines are noticeably better than last gen but considering that last gen was 8 years long that wasn't difficult to accomplish. All of these consoles are shit when measured against what they could/should have been. But I guess it works, for the first time in eons I'm gonna buy two consoles rather than one cuz it's gonna take two platforms to scrape any wow moments out of this gen.

Lol. Who's talking about 4k? Even $800 graphics cards struggle to do that. But when you can't do proper PC ports even at launch there's a problem. And 60 fps? Would be nice but neither can do Witcher 3 at even 30 fps despite it being downgraded for them. And again, that's early on. Imagine PC ports in a couple of years.
this gen: ps4. i had an xbox1 but i had to get rid of it because my mom was in the hospital and needed the money. i kept the games and i'm going to get another one as soon as my money problems get better (might have to sell the ps4 as well) im glad that its cheaper now than when i bought it.
@Wickerman777: I'm talking 4k. Microsoft could've subsidized the X1, given the lower costs due to economies of scale. Also, using a single game created by a substandard developer doesn't make for a good argument. The Witcher is poorly optimized and coded. 60 fps isn't uncommon on the X1. As for PC ports in the future...they'll be better optimized, or at least should be. Consoles are like fine wine...they get better with age. :)
