What the 360 really needs

A really good platformer. This is the one thing I think that 360 library lacks. Ratchet and Clank series is really good, plan on getting the new one at some point for the PS3 but...I just hate gaming on that thing.

What do you think? 360 needs a good platformer?

Edit: Because apparently people wish to distinguish the two, it needs better JRPGs.

The 360 needs more developers and new exclusive series, sure Halo is good and all but I want more focus than just one game and I'm NOT talking about Kinect lol.

Also I want MS to drop the fee to play online, if they did that than Xbox Live would be the best online service, but alas it's not and MS probably isn't going to do that.

Yeah, I've always wished MS would create an exclusive platformer, but since Sonic Generations is on the way, I'm not complaining. For next gen though, I'd really like to see one.

Of course they count. Some people around here like to think otherwise for some reason. But there are even more than that, espeically JRPGs. Magna Carta 2, Resonance of Fate, The Last Remnant, Enchated Arms, Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery...to name a few.

But not sure how this thread got into JRPGs? There has been a drought as of late on 360 but not a lack of JRPGs that's for sure. There is a complete lack of platformers though.

It needs a hair cut.

This may be the one comment on system wars I agree with 100%. I would dump my PS3 in two seconds flat if the 360 had a Blu-ray add on.

He has a point. The software sales speak for themselves. Look at the trend of PS3 exclusives and sequels. While hardware sales are going up, software sales are actually going down.

I think the most obvious explanation is that people use the PS3 primarly for Blu-ray. I know I fall in that category.

XBLA has TONS of platformers.

Though I think many would like to have seen a standard Banjo 3 or Conker 2 platformer from Rare.

Super Meat Boy and Splosion Man/Ms Splosion Man aren't on PS3. Just sayin.

Rayman Origins is coming out on 360

But if you love platfomrers then the Wii is the system of choice.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are the highest rated games of this gen and there are no games,which are better on the PS3,X360,PC,DS and PSP, especially if you take reviews and critical acclaim as the real guide.

Plus there are 3 very strong 2D Plattfomers: Donkey Kong C.R.,Kirbys Epic Yarn and New Super Mario Bros.Another Kirby game is also coming this year.

Players who love plattfomers jump in to the Nintendo Wii.

It needs more variety.

Xbox 360 is selling as much as the PS3 in Europe.I guess Sony should discontinue the PS3 there as well and in the US.
