What the 360 really needs

I agree. I would even argue MS's decision to fund countless XBLA games vs. a handful of big 'exclusives' like Sony really paid off over the last year. There is more variety and overall number of quality games.

Would anyone have guessed two or three years ago funding two dozen plus XBLA games in a year + Gears 3, Forza 4 would trump all six or 8 (or whatever) PS3 'exclusives' + PSN games in terms of overall sales and review averages.

I honestly wouldn't have.

It's something I would like to have but I really don't think Microsoft could really get a very successful platformer no matter how good it may be. Considering that Nuts and Bolts flopped depsite being from a franchise that had games that sold 3 million plus I don't think Banjo really has what it takes to sell any more.

Sure, Nuts and Bolts wasn't a platformer, but it was a still a great game and it launched at fourty dollars and it had plenty of marketing. I just think Banjo went too long with out a new game to really remain relevant.

I guess theres 'Splosion Man, but I'm not sure how well that would do at retail.

I would love for Microsoft to try and get more consistant high quality properties outside of Halo, Gears, Forza and Fable.

A really good platformer. This is the one thing I think that 360 library lacks. Ratchet and Clank series is really good, plan on getting the new one at some point for the PS3 but...I just hate gaming on that thing.

What do you think? 360 needs a good platformer?

The 360 needs more developers and new exclusive series, sure Halo is good and all but I want more focus than just one game and I'm NOT talking about Kinect lol.

Also I want MS to drop the fee to play online, if they did that than Xbox Live would be the best online service, but alas it's not and MS probably isn't going to do that.

And the exclusives it has like Halo and Gears are both critical and financial success, Multiplats perform often are more successful on the Xbox360 too!
