What Type of RPG Do You Prefer ????

Don't really know, but western because only difference I know is that most seem to have real time combat.

Pen and Paper ones by far :)

wRPG > Strategy jRPG > jRPG > Diablo-clones > MMORPGs

Mostly action RPG's. so guess WRPG's for me. dont really like the turn-based RPG's. i feel like im not really playing lol

Ironically enough I don't feel I have any control when playing in real-time as even with "real-time" RPG's they still respond in "time-blocks", so it is far from live-action.

Whereas in many JRPG's you have 100% direct control over every command and from there are branch commands which can be easily understood (counter attacks/auto-blocking/healing).

Though the disctinction between turnbasd and action is a terrible one. You might need to diffentiate between ATB (which some don't consider turn based), full turn based, and action. A game like KOTOR for instance is still turn based but happens along an ATB just like FF7 (well, if you set FF7 to ATB).

I prefer MMORPG's.

If I wanted a good story, I'd pick up a book.

Anything but grid based rpgs (think disagea), over the top ones (think diablo) and then mmos

Good thing thatthe majority of rpgs are either non gridbased jrpgs or wrpgs that, well, are more modern than that.
