What was the better year for gaming, 2008 or 2009?

Title says all. I'd have to say 2008. Sure there's a lot of good excusives out this year, but 2008 is what really got me hooked in next generation gaming. And they also didn't make us wait ten months for half the games.

Both fail in comparision to 2007. But I'm saying 2009 because I played games more this year then last year and the year isn't over. Also I got a new DS this year so I've been playing that alot.

2008 so far, but 2010 is going to be off the hook @_@

'07 beat both of those. But 2010 is going to be absolutely insane. Splinter Cell: Conviction, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2, RAGE, Final Fantasy 13, God of War III, Alan wake, Dante's Inferno, Starcraft II, Halo: Reach...it's simply orgasmic.

This year. I usually don't look forward to many releases but we have Risen, Disciples 3, Alpha Protocol, Dragon Age:Origins, Borderlands, and STALKER:CoP.

Lets wait till the year is over before we compare years so far 08 was better but we still have to wait for the christmas season to start

Well 2009 isn't over yet... and has been great so far.

But 2008 saw the release of MGS4 and LBP, which are my 1st and 3rd most favourite games of all time, respectively. So... that's almost unbeatable in my book.

I think 2008 wins in releases but im enjoying this year waaaaaaaaaaaaay more.

But thats due to buying games from 07/08 and games from previous gens.

Most of the high profile titles haven't been released for 2009 yet. Impossible to tell which year is better until then.
